Anniversary date at Seongsu Italian restaurant: truffle paccheri
In short
Huirit is an Italian restaurant in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, a 7-minute walk from Seoul Forest Station. On a wedding anniversary dinner, the writer and her husband pre-ordered Beef Wellington (₩39,000) via Naver Reservation and paired it with truffle paccheri pasta with jamón and a creamy sauce. With a quiet white-toned dining room, terrace, and private room, it's a spot worth revisiting for anniversaries or first dates.

Today I'm sharing my review of a wedding anniversary date at Huirit (희릿), a Seongsu pasta spot near Seoul Forest. Honest review, let's go~!

The atmosphere was great, so it's perfect for a date or a blind date. The Beef Wellington, which you can't taste anywhere else, was tender and savory, and the truffle paccheri pasta with jamón and creamy sauce was also really delicious 🤍

Why we picked this place for our first anniversary
My husband and I have already hit our first wedding anniversary. We recently took a babymoon trip overseas, so for our actual first anniversary we decided to keep it simple — good food and a nice walk! Hehe

While searching on Naver, I found a place I liked — Huirit, a Seongsu date spot with great atmosphere and reasonable prices. Its Naver rating was almost perfect too,,

Terrace and private room: Huirit's seating vibe
As soon as we walked in, the atmosphere was so good 🥹 evenings are cooler these days, so the terrace seating looked really nice too,,!

Going up the stairs there's an even bigger terrace area, plus a separate private room on the first floor — it looked like a great spot for various gatherings too.

The interior isn't huge but has a nice atmosphere, with bar seats and tables. Since we'd made a Naver reservation ahead, we were seated further inside the hall.

Overall the white-toned space had a nice mood!! Quiet enough to have a proper conversation.
Menu, prices, and corkage
The menu was more affordable than expected — pasta starts in the ₩10,000s, polpo (octopus) is ₩20,000, and Beef Wellington is ₩39,000. Pretty painless prices given how expensive eating out is these days. Ordering is via kiosk,, various wines are also available, and corkage costs ₩10,000.

Beef Wellington requires pre-ordering via Naver Reservation
Beef Wellington was my first time trying it, and it felt like something out of an American cartoon,, it's a menu item you have to order in advance through Naver Reservation, since it's not the kind of dish you can get just anywhere — so I made sure to reserve ahead. You really do need to book it via Naver Reservation in advance~ (₩10,000 deposit required)

It didn't take long for the food to come out, and the meat looked to be cooked medium — no gamey smell at all, not tough, super tender. It went well with the pastry crust too ~ first time trying this dish and totally satisfied

I expected a rich, heavy American flavor, but it wasn't greasy at all and was lighter than expected — even people who don't like heavy food would like it! The yellow sauce underneath is sweet corn purée, which was sweet but not overpowering and paired well with the dish. So good,,💛

Truffle paccheri pasta, jamón and a rich sauce
We also ordered the truffle paccheri pasta. After getting married, when we eat out I tend to pick pasta that looks a bit trickier to make rather than a plain one..
This truffle paccheri pasta is quite the gem. The rich, thick sauce went so well with the jamón and the flat pasta shape — it was creamy and delicious, more than I expected. Since the Beef Wellington wasn't as heavy as expected, the two dishes actually paired well together.

Wrapping up with a walk in Seoul Forest
After eating, we wrapped up the day with a walk through Seoul Forest 🤍 A small but happy day,, spent our first wedding anniversary well at Huirit, our Seongsu date spot! Would definitely visit again (next time I want to try the other pastas and the polpo too).
