Hi everyone~~ it's Songmi haha! Today I'm posting about Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, an unlimited sushi buffet near Hagye Station in Hagye-dong that's great for family gatherings in Nowon~

Kuu Kuu's sushi buffet is on the 6th floor of the Seoul Onchun building~ I heard they'd rolled out a lot of new menu items, so I decided to check it out.

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch hours and parking

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is a great value spot you can enjoy from weekday lunch through dinner and on weekends. The building's underground parking lot is also free for 2 hours, so parking was easy and convenient~

Hours: Mon–Fri 11:00–21:30 (last order 20:00), Sat–Sun 11:00–22:00 (last order 20:30). With such long hours, it's also a good buffet for a late dinner.

What are the family and group tables like?

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is decorated in a clean wood-tone interior, and with its spacious layout, it's a restaurant where a lot of people can gather for family events and more~

They also have an indoor play area and high chairs ready for kids, so it really felt like the perfect place to come with family!

There are partitions between every table so you can chat comfortably while enjoying your meal. They even have a space you can use exclusively, so group seating is available for a minimum of 40 up to a maximum of 60 people.

New menu: flounder sushi and raw salmon sashimi

A friendly staff member showed us to our seats, and right away we headed to the food counters haha. Wow, as expected there was an incredible variety of sushi, and it was all neatly arranged, which made the whole experience feel good.

First, the flounder sushi caught my eye with its incredible look — wow, the slices of raw fish were really long! What even is that presentation?! I was also surprised again by the big, thick cuts.

One of the new items, the raw salmon sashimi, was also thick and generous — you could feel the freshness just by looking at it. I plated it together with the tartar sauce:)

The shrimp sushi also came in a lot of varieties, which was really nice. It's been upgraded this time, so it was even chewier and tastier~

From smoked duck and lamb ribs to Chinese dishes

You can't skip the newly added smoked duck and lamb ribs~~

There were also Chinese dishes like dongpa-jok (braised pork belly) and palbochae (eight-treasure stir-fry). There were so~ many kinds, it was actually fun just to browse and have the happy dilemma of deciding what to eat first.

There were also various fried items, hot dogs, and a chocolate fountain that kids could enjoy without any worry — I thought they'd really love it.

The vegetables for making your own salad were fresh and kept neat and clean, which made it even more enjoyable.

How did the first plate taste?

Here's my first plate, piled high~~! As always, on the first plate you tend to grab your favorites! You could enjoy as much wasabi as you wanted, too haha.

Big cuts, chewy texture, seriously delicious~ I was amazed all over again by the freshness of the salmon and flounder.

The braised short ribs, aged kimchi dak-dori-tang (spicy braised chicken), and gamjatang fried rice were all delicious! The meat wasn't tough at all — it was tender, so, not gonna lie, I went back for seconds~

There were plenty of seafood dishes too, so it was a buffet where you could enjoy a good variety of everything.

Made-to-order udon and dessert

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch offers made-to-order jjajang, jjamppong, udon, and cold buckwheat noodles (naengmomil) — I picked the udon! They made it fresh right away, so I got to enjoy a piping hot broth.

For dessert, you could pick freely — of course there was coffee, plus a variety of herbal teas, ice cream, and sweet desserts~ It was almost surprising how much variety was on offer!

Everything was delicious and the meal was so enjoyable — I finished it off with fruit and a warm latte.

A place where, for great value, you can enjoy sushi as well as Chinese dishes and seafood, and finish with dessert at Kuu Kuu. Next time I'll have to come back with friends~
