It had been a real while since I met up with a friend in Nowon, and while we were trying to figure out where to go, we ended up at Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch. I've actually been to Hero Board Game Cafe with friends several times before, but since I was in Nowon again after so long, we naturally landed on a board game café haha.

₩3,000 per hour on weekends · one drink per person, and they even have bingsu

Since we visited on the weekend, the ₩3,000 per person per hour rate applied to us, and you need to order one drink per person.

You order and pay through the self-service kiosk at the table. Looking at the menu, they also sell bingsu (shaved ice dessert), and it looked absolutely delicious.

I peeked at the menu, and the drink selection is really varied, and they even sell alcohol! There are cocktails, and tons of different bingsu options too. Plenty of simple snacks as well! I wanted bingsu, but my friend had already had some right before meeting me, so sadly I had to pass ㅠ

Word Capture, Splendor, and a Midori Sour cocktail

After ordering, we grabbed our board games! We brought over Word Capture, which looked simple, and Splendor, which felt like something to really sink our teeth into.

While we were casually playing, our order came out pretty fast. My friend got yuzu tea, and I got a Midori Sour cocktail. For a snack we picked honey butter garlic fries! The fries came in a generous portion, and the cocktail looked super pretty too, right?

My friend said the yuzu tea had a strong, delicious flavor. As for the cocktail I ordered — mmm mmm~ with a bit of alcohol in it, it was so, so good. Seriously, it just goes down smooth, sip after sip. Having a cocktail while playing board games is completely great.

Time flew by while we played Splendor~ We'd said we'd only play for 1 or 2 hours, but since it had been so long since we played board games and it was so much fun, we ended up enjoying it for 3 hours.
