Jonggak window-seat Italian dinner with truffle gnocchi: Schedule

In short

Schedule Osteria is an Italian restaurant with Cheonggyecheon stream views, near Jonggak and Euljiro 1(il)-ga stations in Jung-gu, Seoul. A couple booked a window-seat table after work and ordered truffle gnocchi, lemon butter scallop spaghettini, and cuttlefish glutinous barley squid-ink risotto for dinner. At around ₩50,000 per person it isn't cheap, but the mood and the food both delivered, making it a solid Jongno date spot.

Went out with my husband after work for a change of pace at a restaurant with a nice atmosphere. It's close to Jonggak and Euljiro 1(il)-ga stations, and the Cheonggyecheon stream view makes it feel so open. You can even walk along the stream after dinner! Total Jongno date course..♡

Where is Schedule Osteria, between Jonggak and Euljiro?

Schedule Osteria sits on the 2nd floor of the IM Building in Euljiro. Even on weekday evenings it fills up fast with groups and blind dates, so I'd recommend booking ahead.

Seating layout, reservations, and minimum spend

Interior seating and lighting at Schedule Osteria

Schedule Osteria has window seats / bar seats / booth seats / a private room, so it can fit all kinds of get-togethers. Every table has a standard dining time of 1.5 hours for lunch / 2 hours for dinner, and you can stay longer if there's no waitlist or reservation right after you :)

  • One dish per person required for lunch/dinner (appetizers and pairing menu excluded)
  • Weekday lunch window seats: ₩100,000 minimum spend
  • Lunch booth seats: ₩150,000 minimum spend
  • Lunch/dinner private room: ₩200,000 minimum spend (no separate room charge)
Reserved window-seat table

Since we'd booked ahead, they seated us right by the window. Schedule Osteria's upscale, romantic mood really comes from the soft orange lighting and the clean marble interior, I think.

Appetizers

There's a good range of appetizers too — salads, carpaccio, arancini. I was curious about the carpaccio and the bolognese arancini, but we skipped appetizers this time and just ordered three mains. Because there were too many mains I wanted to try ㅠㅠ

The truffle cheese wheel tagliatelle, one of Schedule's signature dishes, I've had something similar at another branch before, so this time I wanted to try the best-seller: truffle gnocchi.

  • Truffle cheese wheel tagliatelle ₩33,000
  • Truffle gnocchi ₩35,000
  • 1++ Korean beef carpaccio ₩28,000
  • Gambas al ajillo ₩28,000
  • Akami raw tuna pizza ₩34,000

And the new dishes — lemon butter scallop spaghettini and cuttlefish glutinous barley squid-ink risotto — caught our eye. A unanimous pick from us, since we both love lemon flavors and umami.

There are also more premium pasta and risotto options. Kind of a shame we could only order three between the two of us(?)

You can also wrap things up with dessert and coffee in this nice atmosphere. Great for when the weather's bad on a date, or when the conversation's too good to want to move on — you can just settle in with coffee and dessert.

From bread to mains

Pre-meal bread served with truffle butter

The pre-meal bread came out first. Tangy, sourdough-like bread — delicious spread with truffle-scented butter.

Give me more... more... more, I kept silently begging

Cream gnocchi topped with black truffle and pepper

Truffle and pepper scattered beautifully on top. The gnocchi had that crispy-outside, chewy-inside texture Koreans love — golden and slightly crisp, a perfect match with the soft cream sauce. Personally, the mozzarella felt a bit odd being cold against the warm gnocchi, so I'd recommend eating the gnocchi + cream sauce + truffle together, and the mozzarella + cream sauce separately haha

Spaghettini and squid-ink risotto served together

The lemon butter scallop spaghettini and cuttlefish glutinous barley squid-ink risotto came out together.

A plate of lemon butter scallop spaghettini

It was surprising how creamy-lemony the pasta smelled. Can't get enough of that lemon zest. The plump scallops were apparently premium-grade too.

The soft blend of butter and lemon felt fresh and totally non-jarring. Weirdly addictive flavor..? My hand keeps reaching for it. Highly recommend this one for summer!!

Cuttlefish glutinous barley squid-ink risotto, ₩29,000

Plated cuttlefish glutinous barley squid-ink risotto

With a name like cuttlefish glutinous barley squid-ink risotto, I had zero doubt it'd be delicious.

Squid-ink risotto topped with a tuile

The distinct umami of squid ink and the chewy texture of the glutinous barley were both great. The cuttlefish was torched for a smoky char, and there was a tuile too, which was fun to eat alongside.

A large piece of cuttlefish

The cuttlefish was cut into pretty big pieces, but so tender you could eat it in one bite. Nothing here fell short — I'd recommend all three dishes we ordered. Seriously recommend. Order this lineup and your date won't fail ^^

A drink received through the review event

Schedule Osteria also runs a review event, so take part and grab a drink too~ I got a Coke Zero haha

Jongno's night view after sunset

By the time we finished eating, the sun had gone down, which meant a great view of Jongno's night scenery. And once it got dark, they lowered the lighting inside, bumping up the mood even more.

They also sell prepaid gift cards, which make nice presents — usable at all Schedule locations, and rechargeable in different amounts, so it's a solid pick for anyone who loves Schedule's food.

Schedule prepaid gift card, good as a present

There are 6 Schedule locations total right now. They blew up thanks to Schedule Cheongdam and have since grown to 6 branches — I've been to 3 of them so far :)

Parking

Visit before 5pm on a weekday and you get 1 hour of support; after 5pm or on weekends, it's 2 hours.

Who this is for

If you're looking for a date spot around Jongno, Jonggak, Gwanghwamun, or Euljiro, I confidently recommend Schedule Osteria. The moment you walk in, you'll fall for the atmosphere, then fall for the food ♡ A go-to for pasta, risotto, and pizza. Budget around ₩50,000+ per person — a bit pricey, but great for anniversaries, dates, or wedding-invitation gatherings, anywhere you want to spend meaningful time.
