Jonggak Italian restaurant for fresh vongole pasta: Schedule Osteria
In short
Schedule Osteria is a fresh-pasta Italian restaurant in Jung-gu, Seoul. We enjoyed ₩18,000 bolognese arancini, ₩29,000 vongole spaghettini, and cheese-wheel tagliatelle at a sunny window table with our little one. Verdict: a lovely family date stop before a Cheonggyecheon walk.

A weekend date that began by Cheonggyecheon
For today’s weekend date spot, let’s head to Cheonggyecheon! Another date adventure with our cutie and my husband, like collecting stamps! (Time does not pass when you’re watching a kid at home.... You absolutely have to get out, hahaha.) Our cutie had been singing “pasta, pasta” since morning, so off we went to find a delicious spot! Schedule Osteria (스케줄 오스테리아), a lovely, atmospheric place known for couples’ anniversaries and dates.

From Jonggak Station Exit 5 to a Cheonggyecheon stroll
On weekends, we deliberately take public transit to show our cutie different things, and it was an easy ride of about 20 minutes from home! It’s right there when you come out of Jonggak Station Exit 5, so the location is very nice! It’s directly in front of Cheonggyecheon, so I highly recommend continuing with a Cheonggyecheon stroll after your meal.

Even the exterior is totally my taste (❤ ω ❤). Once it’s elegant and pretty, what more do you need? It was selected for Catchtable BEST 100. Ooh... it really was a genuinely great restaurant.... Why am I only finding out now? 😢

A sunny window table and open kitchen
The second we walked in, the sunlight through the floor-to-ceiling windows was just so pretty.........❤️❤️ It really is a place with a view, so there were lots of couples! We were shown to a window table too, then had a look around the restaurant.

Does an open kitchen make you trust it more?! It would be nice to sit at the bar and enjoy it with a friend! The sunlight shining all the way into the kitchen was so beautiful.

Even the basic tableware was so pretty ❤️ They also brought children’s tableware for our little one. We quickly ordered from the tablet!

Arancini and vongole that were great with a little one
Starting with the complimentary bread and truffle butter 🤤 The bread had just come out of the oven, so the butter melted right into it—very satisfying.
The arancini (fried rice balls) paired so well with the bolognese sauce and aioli. The rice grains had not gone mushy; they were nicely chewy. And the outside was wonderfully crisp, so the texture was great 👍 Our little one ate three! It wasn’t overly seasoned, so I recommend it if you’re visiting with a child 🙏❤️

Oh, and an iced Americano is essential! You have to order one. Order it twice, three times 😇 Slurp slurp, it was ridiculously good 😆
Schedule Osteria has fresh pasta, no less! I personally love fresh pasta, and I hadn’t had it in ages, so I was wildly excited >_<❤️ Since it’s vongole, the vongole spaghettini came generously loaded with red scallops and Manila clams as standard ❤️ I also loved getting bites of zucchini! I’m rather particular about how cooked my vegetables are, but these were perfectly even 🙋♀️👌
Most importantly, the clams seemed to have been purged really well! There wasn’t any grit or sand in them. Hehe 😇❤️❤️
Tagliatelle tossed in a cheese wheel
And the dish I was looking forward to most: cheese-wheel tagliatelle. It’s fresh tagliatelle in a cream-sauce base, mixed once more in a flamed cheese wheel 💛
Flambé is a cooking method in which alcohol is added to a stir-fried or grilled dish and lit. It quickly evaporates the alcohol, helping remove unwanted odors from ingredients while adding a flame-kissed flavor and the aroma of the alcohol.
The rum fire show in the cheese wheel, and the performance of tossing the pasta right in front of us, were both so satisfying 🙋♀️ They even grated a generous amount of fresh truffle over it at the end—this is heaven.....😆✨️ The rich, salty cheese had soaked right into the fresh pasta, making it a complete bowl with nothing missing ❤️

And if you leave a Naver review, you get homemade cake (tiramisu), no less ❤️❤️ It was a beautiful course right through to the finish. Anyone looking for a great blind-date spot with a lovely atmosphere and delicious food, come on over to Schedule Osteria... a guaranteed win every time 👍👍
