Ikkjujeokku in Gamil-dong: 15 minutes by bus from Dunchon-dong Station
Today I'm bringing you my return visit review of Ikkjujeokku (이것도 꾸워먹고 저것도 꾸워먹고), my favorite spot in Gamil-dong, haha.
Hours are Tue–Fri 5pm–10pm, Sat–Sun 12pm–10pm (break 2:30–5pm), closed every Monday.
On my first visit I walked from home, but today I went straight from work, so I took bus No. 1 from Duchon-dong Station — only took about 15 minutes. So convenient!
After getting off the bus and walking a bit, a small tunnel appears, which felt kind of neat. Right after the tunnel, there's Ikkjujeokku!

Around 6:30... the sunset was happening. It was so pretty I had to take a photo, haha.
It looked like it might rain, but it didn't that day. The heat has finally eased up, so now you can actually eat at the outdoor tables.
Outdoor tables and group seating at Ikkjujeokku
Ikkjujeokku has SO many outdoor tables! Since Gamil gets a lot of families, even the smallest tables seat four.
They've hung lights up too, so it has a nice vibe! There's plenty of group seating, and even if it rains there's a roof so no problem!
Last time I went with four people and reserved the charcoal-grill indoor room, but this time it was just my partner and me, so we decided to try the griddle hall!
Ikkjujeokku prices, ₩10,000 corkage and outside food rules

At Ikkjujeokku, one serving is 100g. Jeju pork is ₩11,800 for 200g — such a great price.
If you order 200g or more per person, there's a ₩3,000 table setting fee for adults. But the huge upside is that outside food is allowed! Corkage is only ₩10,000! I made sure to use both of these perks by bringing flounder sashimi and wine, haha.

You can order comfortably from the table. The perk of the griddle hall is that you can grill kimchi, so I first ordered 2 servings of kimchi pork belly and 2 servings of pork belly :) I highly recommend the kimchi pork belly!

There's a guide with explanations of the side dishes and sauces, and you can tell they really use good ingredients!
Ssam vegetables, banchan and an on-site shop: camping-restaurant mood
They even have green onion kimchi and mustard leaf kimchi, what a sense of hospitality!

The ssam (wrap) vegetables were so varied it put dedicated ssam restaurants to shame lol. I loved trying vegetables I don't normally get to eat! Even at a glance you could tell how fresh they were!
Baby chairs are standard, haha.
There's even a convenience store inside, complete with a Hangang ramen machine and a microwave — very much a camping restaurant vibe, haha.
The interior is really spacious, and mostly families come here.
They bring out the first round of side dishes and sauces for you, so you basically just need to bring your own ssam vegetables! The sauces include wasabi, Maldon salt, ssamjang, and salted hairtail intestines — such a nice range of sauces!

These grilled banchan are so good — the seasoned bracken fern especially, it's insane... so nutty and savory.

You can't eat meat without shredded green onions — refills are a must, right?

The green onion kimchi and mustard leaf kimchi are amazing, both kimchis are really delicious.

Kimchi pork belly with flounder sashimi and corkage red wine
My kimchi pork belly arrived! The kimchi is aged, so grilled it's heavenly.

Look at that pink-hued, thick-cut meat. Already delicious just looking at it, haha. So glossy and pretty.

It was so pretty I kept taking photos.
They lay it out nicely on the grill. It'll come out golden brown.
While the meat grills, they'll set up the flounder sashimi I bought from Dunchon Market. ₩15,000 worth of happiness, haha.

Since outside food is allowed, you get to enjoy this combo! Such a perfect setup... truly... I couldn't help but applaud lol.
When I posted this on my story, friends said it looked like I was determined to finish it all lol, and they were exactly right lol.
Such gorgeous Jeju pork, love it. There was pepper on the table so I sprinkled some on. This is the moment the kimchi is getting nicely cooked~
Enjoying the corkage wine, haha. ₩10,000 corkage is such a great deal. Wine glasses and an opener were all provided!

It was a gifted wine, and being red, it paired well with the meat. It had been a while since I drank red wine, and it was tasty, which made me even happier.

Before long the meat was cooked just right, so I dipped it in Maldon salt first. The meat was thick, so you really get that chewy, nutty texture. Last time the meat was so good I came back, and once again it did not disappoint.

I think what makes Jeju pork so tasty is the salted hairtail intestines, and having it here made it SO much better >_<

It was so good I ordered 2 more servings, but my partner got full in the meantime and couldn't eat much, so I ended up finishing it all myself, haha lol.

Finishing with bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles)
I ordered Ikkjujeokku's bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles) — a generous portion and tasty, I'd recommend it :) Refreshing dongchimi (radish water kimchi) broth with a solid amount of red seasoning, haha.

Once you mix it all up, this is what it looks like, and the noodles are so chewy and delicious. Koreans always have to end a meal with some carbs, right? Lol.

If you write a Naver review you get ₩3,000 off, and since it's a Harmony merchant, I paid with Harmony too.
On the walk home to Gamil district to help digest, the night view was really pretty, haha.
Is Ikkjujeokku worth a return visit?
Gamil has quite a few BBQ restaurants, and the location being a bit far is the only downside... but! With corkage + outside food allowed + outdoor seating + cheap prices — four perfect elements — my return-visit intention for Ikkjujeokku is 200%.
- Jeju pork 200g for ₩11,800, one serving = 100g
- ₩3,000 table setting fee per adult for orders of 200g+
- Outside food allowed, corkage ₩10,000 (wine glasses and opener provided)
- Griddle hall lets you grill kimchi — kimchi pork belly recommended
- Outdoor and group seating, baby chairs, an in-store convenience store and Hangang ramen machine
