Autumn date restaurant near Misa Gyeongjeong Park: Bokkeriu, Hanam

These days the mornings and evenings have gotten properly cool, and honestly my heart's been fluttering along with it haha. Staying home just feels so stuffy, right??? So I went out for a little drive and some good food near Seoul to get some fresh air!

Great view, pasta and steak, and a stroll through Misa Gyeongjeong Park to finish — this place, 'Bokkeriu,' is a perfect date course, so let's get into the honest review~~

Where is Bokkeriu? Hours and parking

Bokkeriu is at 395-5 Misa-dong, Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do, right by Misa Gyeongjeong Park and the Misari Han River waterfront. It's open 11:30–22:00 with a break time of 15:30–17:30 (last order 14:00, 20:30), and closed every Monday.

Inside Bokkeriu: floor-to-ceiling window views

The inside of Bokkeriu has a full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows, so natural light pours straight in. The ceilings are high and the tables are spaced out generously, so I could eat without feeling cramped at all.

The whole wall is one big open window, and the dazzling sunlight streams right in

That's the charm of picture windows — it's basically a view restaurant.. already totally my type

Overall it's a clean, sophisticated white-toned interior, and gorgeous fresh flower arrangements scattered around make the mood even better~~~

The ceilings are super high and the tables are spaced way apart, so eating felt zero percent cramped. The atmosphere is so upscale and romantic that a lot of people were clearly there for anniversaries or dates

At the table right next to us, someone was having a business meeting, and the vibe was upscale enough that it'd work great for dates, meetings, or family gatherings!

What we ordered at Bokkeriu and what it cost

What we ordered that day was the two-person Korean beef steak set (₩118,000) & rucola prosciutto pizza (₩28,000)!

Sourdough bread, sweet corn soup and half salad

Right from the soup that opens the course, this place is clearly no joke

The sweet corn soup, with kernels that still had texture like it was freshly ground in-house, was so sweet and nutty it woke up my whole appetite — flawless..

The chewy sourdough bread comes with seaweed butter, salty and packed with umami

And the fresh salad topped generously with crunchy nuts and cream cheese — how good is that..!

The cream cheese is out of control.. rich and nutty, I could inhale that salad endlessly hahaha

Shrimp bisque pasta

There were so many pasta options I had to think it over, but I ended up ordering the shrimp bisque pasta.. totally satisfied!!

Visually it already passes with those big, plump shrimp

The deeply reduced bisque sauce soaks right into the springy noodles, so every bite brings out more umami

If you're a shrimp lover, this dish is a guaranteed win..!!!

Arugula jambon pizza

The pasta was great, but the pizza is also insane — piled thick with prosciutto.... I love it so much, right?

Overall the ingredients are truly fresh — the prosciutto isn't overly salty at all, and the rucola is so fresh and piled on generously that it makes me very happy.

And on top of that, the dough itself is amazing.. dip the crust ends into the garlic dipping sauce that comes with it...

Every single dish was delicious, but this one became my favorite pick..

Korean beef sirloin steak, cooked medium

And here comes the highly anticipated main dish, the Korean beef sirloin steak..

I asked for medium as I wanted, and the moment the knife touched it, it sliced smoothly with juices flowing out....

The tenderness that melts the second it hits your mouth, plus the rich beefy aroma, makes for a genuinely happy-making taste...❤️

Dessert of the day: cheesecake

After the meal, a sweet cheesecake came out as 'today's dessert,' and I got to finish things off perfectly while looking out at the open view through the windows

Walking Misa Gyeongjeong Park and the Han River after dinner

The Misari Han River walking trail continues right next to Bokkeriu, so it's great for a light walk to Misa Gyeongjeong Park after eating.

Once you've filled up on delicious food, it's so nice to take a light stroll along the Misari Han River trail that continues right next to the restaurant...!!
