Hanam BBQ restaurant: pork belly for two under ₩50,000, Ikkjujeokku
In short
Ikkjujeokku is a Korean BBQ restaurant near Sinu Elementary School in Gwangam-dong, Hanam, Gyeonggi, where you pick griddle, charcoal, or outdoor grill-yard seating and cook the meat yourself. A couple ate 5 servings of white pork ogyeopsal (five-layer pork belly, 100g per serving) and 2 bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles) for under ₩50,000, and the best part was grilling the self-serve bar's gat-kimchi (mustard leaf kimchi) and seasoned bracken fern alongside the pork. For big portions plus a camping mood in Hanam, Ikkjujeokku is the answer.

Grill this and grill that too — Ikkjujeokku
I was looking for somewhere a little different to grill meat in Hanam when I found this place! With a name as fun as 'grill this too, grill that too,' shortened to Ikkjujeokku (이꾸저꾸).

Where is Ikkjujeokku, and is there parking in Gwangam-dong, Hanam?
It's located near Sinu Elementary School in Gwangam-dong, Hanam, so the surroundings are relatively quiet, and there's parking space right in front of the restaurant.

Griddle Hall, Charcoal Hall, or the outdoor grill yard — which seating to pick at Ikkjujeokku?
Inside, there are separate Griddle Hall and Charcoal Hall areas. In the Griddle Hall you grill meat on a big cast-iron griddle, while in the Charcoal Hall you grill over real charcoal. On nice-weather days, you can also use the outdoor charcoal grill yard!

On the left is the Griddle Hall, on the right is the Charcoal Hall. I like grilling bean sprouts and kimchi together with meat, so I chose the Griddle Hall!

The Charcoal Hall even has a private room like this, which looked great for group gatherings~!

Ordering white pork ogyeopsal at Ikkjujeokku: 4 servings to start, 100g each
We first ordered 4 servings of white pork belly. I wanted black pork, but they said it wasn't in stock right now~ Four servings for two people might look like a lot, but at 100g per serving, my husband and I — being big eaters — had no trouble at all ^^*

What's on Ikkjujeokku's self-serve bar: gat-kimchi and four sauces
After ordering the meat, we looked around the restaurant a bit. The self-serve bar has green onion shreds, kimchi, mustard leaf kimchi (gat-kimchi), lettuce wraps, garlic, and more. Do you know how amazing it is to grill gat-kimchi with meat??? I thought that was just something my family did — how did the owner know?!
The sauce corner also has salt, wasabi, ssamjang, and salted anchovy sauce (melljeot) self-serve — the basic sauces are brought to you first, so you don't need to go get those separately~ I liked that they had a variety to pair with different types of meat. I usually dip in salt+wasabi or melljeot, and eat vegetables with ssamjang, so having exactly these four sauces with nothing unnecessary was perfect for me. The owner's taste seems to match mine — must really know their stuff~~

Can you bring outside food to Ikkjujeokku, and what is the table setting fee?
Interestingly, Ikkjujeokku allows you to bring in outside food. You can order the meat here and bring other food from home to eat together — it really feels like being at a campsite. There's a table setting fee, but if you order 200g or more of meat per person, the fee is a bit cheaper. Potatoes grilled in pork fat are seriously amazing?? Next time I'll definitely cut up potatoes and bring them!!!

Thick, squared-cut ogyeopsal — grill the bracken fern and gat-kimchi with it
After a short wait, the white pork belly we ordered arrived! Lately I'm obsessed with meat cut into these square pieces, and just seeing it come out raised my expectations!! Especially the balance of fat and lean meat was exactly the style I wanted, so I thought — glad we came. Haha.
The thickly sliced pork belly gets placed on the well-heated grill pan. The fat sizzles right away — doesn't it look so good, ugh.

When you order meat, seasoned bracken fern and seasoned bean sprouts come along. Grill these too, at the edge of the pan. Especially the bracken fern — make sure to grill it, because it soaks up the pork fat and tastes amazing, ugh. And promise me you'll grill the gat-kimchi from the self-serve bar too!!!

Let me try a well-cooked piece of meat. Yum — the piece size was just right, but my husband cut it in half anyway. Still thinking back to our dating days I guess ^-ㅜ... You didn't have to.... I like eating meat in big pieces, so the square-cut size was perfect as is, don't you think.

Best combos: salt and wasabi, grilled gat-kimchi, salted anchovy sauce
First I tried the salt+wasabi combo, then paired it with grilled gat-kimchi, which is my favorite. Dipping in salted anchovy sauce was also really good! Best pork belly I've had in a while.

Wrapping it in lettuce with garlic and gat-kimchi on top was delicious too, and a light touch of wasabi for a clean finish also worked well. Dipping in melljeot gives yet another flavor, so I kept switching up the combos. Also good with the bracken fern that soaked up all that pork fat, nom.

Two bibim naengmyeon at Ikkjujeokku — one is enough for two people
Eating all this meat, naengmyeon (cold noodles) is a must too, right? My husband and I each ordered a bibim naengmyeon (spicy mixed cold noodles) to eat alongside the meat, and as expected, spicy bibim naengmyeon with meat never fails. The portion was pretty big, so if you can't eat a lot, order just one between two people!

The bill: 5 servings of pork belly plus 2 naengmyeon for two, under ₩50,000
What's dessert if not mixing up the bibim naengmyeon well and eating it with meat~?! We didn't have any meat left to eat with the noodles, so we added one more serving of pork belly ^^* In the end we ate 5 servings of white pork belly plus 2 bibim naengmyeon, and even after all that for two people, the bill came under ₩50,000!! Given today's dining-out prices, this place was really attractive price-wise. Eating meat until full and having naengmyeon on top, all for under ₩50,000 — definitely feels lighter on the wallet. If you're looking for pork belly in a Hanam Korean BBQ restaurant and also care about price, this place should be a welcome find.

Ikkjujeokku's outdoor grill yard: campfire staring and a Han River ramyeon vending machine
After eating, we checked out the outdoor space too, and I thought grilling meat at Ikkjujeokku's outdoor grill yard on a nice day would be really fun. If you come with kids, they can grill marshmallows or blow bubbles, and once the sun sets you can enjoy fire-watching too. Especially now that summer's ending and the night breeze is really cool, isn't this exactly the season for outdoor grilling??
There's also an outdoor Han River ramyeon vending machine and a spot to buy snacks, so cooking up a ramyeon after the meat would really complete the camping feeling~~
If you're looking for a Hanam Gamil restaurant and want a different vibe instead of the usual Korean BBQ place, I'd recommend Ikkjujeokku. Being able to choose griddle, charcoal, or outdoor grilling depending on your mood is also fun. Especially for people like us who eat a lot of meat, the price was quite attractive too! If you're looking for a Gamil-dong restaurant or Korean BBQ spot, this place is worth a visit.
