Rushing to a Naju gomtang restaurant in Gangseo after work
Today I want to share my story about Naju Gomtang Seook, a Naju gomtang (Naju-style beef and ox bone soup) restaurant in Gangseo!
I hadn't been feeling well lately and was really craving something warm, and it turned out there was a Naju gomtang restaurant right near my place! I rushed over for dinner as soon as I got off work!
A hearty bowl of naju gomtang plus boiled pork — it was all so good at Naju Gomtang Seook in Gangseo! If you're looking for a Naju gomtang restaurant or boiled pork restaurant near Gayang Station or Yangcheonhyanggyo Station, I recommend Naju Gomtang Seook :)

Naju Gomtang Seook is located near Gayang Station in Gangseo. They say they simmer domestic beef brisket, shank, and tendon fresh every morning. The side dishes are homemade too — you can really feel the care put into this place!

Interior good for solo dining and groups
The interior had a nice mix of seats good for solo dining and tables for groups, all with a clean, tidy design!
We visited as a pair and sat at a two-person table haha. Even though we came in the late evening, there was a mix of solo diners and groups of people out for dinner!

Naju Gomtang Seook's menu and what we ordered
The menu at Naju Gomtang Seook! First, the hearty, hot naju gomtang — there's a regular naju gomtang and a naju gomtang (special). And then boiled pork! There's regular boiled pork, tendon boiled pork, and seasoned boiled pork! We ordered three dishes: naju gomtang, naju gomtang (special), and boiled pork (small)!

The kitchen is open, so you could see everything being cooked directly in the pots! It was clear this place has earned the right to be proud of its food!

House-made seokbakji and seasoned boiled pork side dish
They also serve house-made seokbakji (radish kimchi) and vegetables

There's a seasoned boiled pork(?) side dish and it was genuinely delicious! The meat was so tender and clean-tasting — really good!
Boiled pork (small) wrapped in chives
And then the boiled pork we ordered! This boiled pork was seriously delicious! There's a bed of chives underneath, and wrapping the pork with chives made it taste amazing!

I already love chives, but eating them together with the boiled pork like this was so good. I never knew chives and boiled pork went together so well!

The tendon was so tender too, really delicious! I actually love tendon and was debating ordering the tendon boiled pork, but it turned out tendon came included with the regular boiled pork anyway! Thanks to that I got to enjoy the tendon too haha.

How was the naju gomtang (special) broth?
And then the naju gomtang..!! This is the naju gomtang (special), and it was packed with meat and tendon!

With the egg garnish on top, it was a perfect bowl of naju gomtang — the broth was deep and really flavorful! It wasn't too intense or salty, but clean and refreshing, so my stomach felt comfortable even after eating. I'd been craving a warm soup dish since I wasn't feeling well lately, and this was exactly what I wanted!
The rice comes already mixed into the gomtang, so you could eat it together with the soup

Free rice refill
Naju Gomtang Seook even gives free rice refills! This place seems perfect for days when you want to eat a really filling meal!

Why I think I'll be back
The meat inside the gomtang was so good, and you could really feel the owner's care and effort. Every single side dish was thoughtfully made, and the staff were kind — this is a restaurant I feel like I'll visit again! Their Naver rating was a whopping 4.9. Once I tried it myself, I understood why this place is so popular!
Whenever I'm craving a hot soup or naju gomtang going forward, I think I'll head to Naju Gomtang Seook. The weather's been warming up lately but chilly fall is coming soon, so when your body feels run down or you need something filling, I recommend Naju Gomtang Seook :) If you're looking for a naju gomtang restaurant or boiled pork restaurant near Gayang Station, go visit Naju Gomtang Seook haha!!
