A haejangguk place that started in Jeju and became incredibly famous! Located near Starfield Goyang, Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch (제주은희네해장국 고양삼송점) is a great Samsong spot for a meal before or after shopping! My husband and I stopped by on a shopping trip to Starfield Goyang because we wanted to fill our stomachs first. The haejangguk (Korean hangover soup), offal soup, and even the dombe gogi (Jeju-style sliced boiled pork) were all delicious, so let me introduce this place that I absolutely want to revisit.
Parking at Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch

You can park in the restaurant's underground parking garage. The entrance is wide and there are plenty of spaces, so even new drivers can comfortably visit by car! You can register for one hour of parking!
Restaurant exterior near Starfield Goyang

Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch is a great Samsong restaurant near Starfield Goyang! The clean interior is so good. Out front, there is also an introduction to the menu items on sale.
A comfortable interior for family meals or dining solo

The restaurant was spacious and clean overall. The tables were well spaced, so families can eat without worrying too much about the next table, and high chairs are available too, making it look great for visiting with children! Above all, I noticed many adults coming after work to eat alone or have a drink with their gukbap (rice soup)! It is a great Samsong spot for solo dining too.

When I paid and headed out, I noticed signatures from so many celebrities hanging up! I guess celebrities really do know the good restaurants better..
Haejangguk and offal soup menu, plus ordering tips

There are individual signature dishes of haejangguk and offal soup at Eunhui-ne Haejangguk, as well as set menus for anyone wanting both rice and meat. When I visited last time, there was squid mulhoe (cold raw-fish soup), but the season is over now and a new menu item, braised cutlassfish, had arrived! Braised cutlassfish is exactly what comes to mind when you think of Jeju! With one meal ordered per person, you can add a bowl of rice and broth for free. You can also order without seonji (coagulated ox blood) or dadaegi (spicy seasoning), so you can eat it to your taste.

Offal soup + dombe pork ₩20,000, haejangguk ₩12,000

We ordered Set No. 2, which comes with offal soup and dombe pork, plus an individual haejangguk! There were only two of us, but we wanted to compare the haejangguk and offal soup, haha.

Rich, deep haejangguk
The haejangguk contains beef brisket, shank, seonji, bean sprouts, ugeoji (dried cabbage leaves), and glass noodles! Personally, I liked it because the broth was richer than the offal soup. It has lots of brisket and shank, so the broth itself is quite rich, while the bean sprouts and ugeoji add a refreshing yet deep flavor! Most of all, I love glass noodles, and having them in there too made it fun to slurp them up with the broth, haha.

My husband's top pick: clean, nutty offal soup
My husband's top pick was the offal soup! It contains beef tripe, seonji, bean sprouts, and ugeoji.

My husband and I both like seonji, so we did not leave it out, and there were two large pieces in the soup. The broth felt cleaner and lighter than the haejangguk, but it was generously filled with chewy, nutty offal. I think it would suit anyone who enjoys the distinctive texture and nutty flavor of offal. My husband ate it really well too, saying he liked the offal soup broth more than the haejangguk. While the haejangguk is rich and deep, the offal soup is clean with a subtle nutty flavor from the offal!

Dombe pork that exceeded expectations
The dombe pork in the set exceeded expectations too! The skin had a subtle herbal-medicine aroma and was chewy, while the lean meat was tender—such a good texture combination!

Kimchi is important when you eat gukbap. The kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi) went incredibly well with the haejangguk and was delicious too, haha.

Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch is a great Samsong restaurant to visit when you want a hearty meal after shopping at Starfield Goyang! The restaurant is clean, and with a free extra bowl of rice and broth when each person orders a meal, it is a great-value restaurant near Starfield Goyang too! I was also happy that I could enjoy a restaurant famous in Jeju right here in Samsong, haha.
