Today I went to Yeouido with Haneul for some Asian home-style cooking! ✨ I was trying to decide what to eat for lunch... since it was kind of brunch-lunch for me, I was craving something neat and filling. When I looked at the menu, it was exactly what I was searching for, so I rushed over to this Yeouinaru Station restaurant!

It's only open for lunch, so it turns out a lot of Yeouido office workers come here for lunch too ✨ The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy, so it ended up being a really satisfying meal ☺️

The inside of Jeongyun Kitchen had an overall warm and cozy atmosphere that suited the home-style food ✨

The lighting wasn't harsh and bright but slightly dim and soft, which made it feel even more comfortable and warm.

On the wall there was a cute clock, aprons, and wet wipes ready to use. The overall calm atmosphere made it a comfortable place to eat ☺️

And here's what I especially liked! You can get free refills of rice, cilantro, and even curry 👏🏻 You could also request water, plates, or napkins through the tablet, which was really convenient ☺️ We picked from the signature dishes that day.

I was surprised how fast the food came out after ordering! You know that anxious feeling when food is slow to arrive during precious lunch hour... we've all been there haha 🤣 It was a moment where I instantly understood why so many Yeouido office workers come here for lunch ✨

We ordered the basic red curry chicken rice with a chicken add-on ✨ The crispy fried chicken topping was perfectly seasoned and so delicious, and above all, the red curry itself was truly amazing! It wasn't a curry heavy with strong seasoning flavor — it had that soft, warm home-cooked taste like someone made it with care at home 🤍 The moment I tasted it, I thought, good thing I added chicken, haha.

Dip the chicken generously in the curry sauce and... 🤤 the rice just disappears, haha. From the moment they served the food, they told us to feel free to ask for more rice if we needed it! It was so delicious that I ended up refilling the rice ✨ When the owner brought the rice, she kindly told us to have more curry too if we needed it — such a sweet and kind owner 🥹 The curry was so good I wanted a refill of that too, but somehow I felt bad asking, so I never did 🤣

Next up is the Singapore chicken rice! We ordered it with the 'extra rice' option ✨ Eating the moist, well-cooked chicken together with the rice was overall really clean-tasting and delicious! The savory topping on the chicken was a nice touch too, making it even better together ☺️

It came with soy sauce and spicy sauce to dip according to taste~ I especially liked dipping it in the spicy sauce, while Haneul preferred the soy sauce! I also love cilantro so I topped mine with it, and it went really well with the chicken 👍 While alternating between the sauces, I also tried dipping it in the red curry next to it, and sure enough, that was delicious too 😋

Today I introduced Jeongyun Kitchen, an Asian home-style restaurant near Yeouinaru Station~ We did an 11am opening run, but as lunchtime approached, the tables quickly filled up with what were clearly Yeouido office workers! It only opens during lunch hours and is tucked inside a shopping center, yet people still seek it out this much — it really does seem to be a lunch spot that has earned genuine word-of-mouth among Yeouido office workers...! ✨

The food came out really fast, was neat and filling, and overall wasn't heavy or overly seasoned, so it was a really satisfying meal ☺️ If you're trying to decide on lunch near Yeouinaru Station, I recommend visiting on a day when you're craving something warm and filling in the Asian home-style way~! 🍚✨
