Weekday evening no-wait ramen with free refills: Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong
In short
Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong is a ramen restaurant in Eunpyeong, Seoul, a 10-minute walk from Saejeol Station with Bulgwangcheon stream right outside. Visiting just after 5pm on a weekday, there was no wait, and the writer ordered tori paitan and kara paitan (13,000 won each) with added tsukune char siu and soft-boiled egg, with free refills on noodles, broth, rice and kimchi. Between the view, the service and the rich chicken broth, there's no reason not to go.

The stream-view atmosphere inside

Oreno Ramen is so famous everyone knows it, right?! I'd only been to the flagship location, but when I heard there was an Eunpyeong branch too, I rushed right over haha

Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong has this amazing view straight onto Bulgwangcheon stream... it adds a solid +10 points to the Japanese ambiance!

The seating capacity looked to be around 23–28 people! I went a bit after 5pm on a weekday, so I luckily got seated with no wait, but by 5:30 it was almost completely full — true to its reputation as one of the best ramen spots in Eunpyeong...!

At the table, pickled radish, ice water, utensils, and even a hair tie were all carefully set out haha. I couldn't get a photo, but there's also an apron next to the kiosk! Little details like this put me in a good mood before I'd even eaten~

Such good-looking eggs were aging in the fridge haha... see you soon~

Free refills on noodles, broth, rice, and kimchi
There's one more great thing about Oreno Ramen... free refills on noodles, broth, rice, AND kimchi!!! Oreno Ramen only sells ramen with no side dishes, so big eaters might find that a bit lacking, but the free refills really make up for it haha
The menu and what we ordered

This is the classic no-frills ramen restaurant menu, right? Just ramen and toppings, beautifully simple... I wanted a beer but had to go to work after, so I held back with a zero-sugar cola. I ordered one tori paitan and one kara paitan (13,000 won each), plus added tsukune char siu and a soft-boiled egg — went all out haha

There's a brief menu guide next to the kiosk too

The zero cola and cilantro came out first... did you know Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong lets you add cilantro? Cilantro lovers, you have to come here. I am not one of them
How the tori paitan and kara paitan taste

(Left) kara paitan (right) tori paitan — can't you tell how rich the broth is just from the photo? It genuinely felt like eating a restorative tonic soup...

The basic toppings are wood ear mushroom, chicken tenderloin char siu, green onion, and a soft-boiled egg! Here's a shot with the skewered tsukune and an extra soft-boiled egg added on haha. Pretty much an imperial-grade ramen at this point, right?

I tried the kara paitan first,,, the moderate spice blended so well with the rich broth, it was genuinely delicious!! Even folks who don't love greasy food would probably like this Korean-patched version of ramen~ ~
Oreno Ramen's tori paitan is famous enough that I'll keep this short: it's truly, deeply simmered chicken broth with perfectly cooked noodles and generous toppings. The kind of flavor pretty much everyone likes without exception!

The soft-boiled egg was also deeply moving,..~ the yolk was cooked just right, made me so happy

The tsukune was insane too...~ I remembered enjoying the basic char siu so much that I tried this one, and the juices just burst out!!! Highly recommend

This was my boyfriend's first meal of the day so he added an extra portion of noodles, and they gave him char siu and green onion on top too... what is this?! So touched
Great view, great service, great taste — Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong! There's not a single reason not to go, the absolute best
If I lived in Eunpyeong, I feel like I'd come here once a week — that's the kind of ramen spot this is
