While looking for a clean, well-kept eel restaurant near Seonleung Station, I found Manmok. What we ordered was a whole grilled eel plus the Korean beef nabe set. I wanted to taste the eel simply, so I chose salt-grilled, and paired it with Ebisu draft beer for a proper dinner.

Having eaten there myself, both the food and the space were satisfying. It has bar seating great for solo dining, two-tops, and tables for larger groups, so it seemed to work well as a Seonleung Station spot for group dinners, solo meals, or hanging out with friends.

There's also a separate bar-style seating area, so coming alone for an eel rice bowl or grilled eel doesn't feel awkward at all. The two-top seats are comfortable for a friend or a date, and there's space for larger groups too, so it looked like a solid option for a Seonleung Station group dinner spot.

What we ordered was the whole grilled eel + Korean beef nabe set (₩113,000). You can choose between salt and sauce for the grilled eel, and we picked salt-grilled because we wanted to enjoy the eel's own flavor simply. The sauce comes on the side too, so you can eat it plain and dip it in sauce midway through!

The eel came out grilled to a nice golden brown with thick, meaty fillets. The surface had those appetizing grill marks, and the inside was soft, making it easy to eat plain. Personally, I felt like choosing salt-grilled was the right call! You could really taste the eel's own savory flavor, and dipping it in sauce partway through gave it a different flavor so it never got boring.

Having the Korean beef nabe alongside it made for a great combo! The nabe that came with the grilled eel was satisfying too. It was packed with Korean beef, napa cabbage, bok choy, mushrooms, tofu and more, so it was nice to alternate between it and the grilled eel. Eating warm broth and vegetables alongside the eel, instead of just eel the whole time, made for a nicely balanced meal!

I wondered if a whole eel plus nabe would be too much for two people, but we ended up very full and satisfied haha ^0^ We also had Ebisu draft beer, and it was so good..T_T

After we finished, they even brought out ice cream for dessert!!
