Beef rolls and cheese fried rice at Cheonpo Hoegwan, an Uijeongbu meat
In short
Cheonpo Hoegwan Uijeongbu Main Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant in the new town area near Uijeongbu Station in Gyeonggi. Four adults and a kid grilled two servings each of pork belly and beef rolls, worked through side dishes like yukhoe (raw beef tartare) and minari kimchi pancake batter, and finished with fried rice topped half with roasted seaweed flakes and half with cheese powder. Both the banchan and the mains delivered, making it a solid pick for group get-togethers.

Today's restaurant review! Pork belly that's delicious, beef rolls that are even more delicious! Here's my review of Cheonpo Hoegwan Uijeongbu Main Branch, a favorite in Uijeongbu's new town area — let's start!
Location and hours of Cheonpo Hoegwan Uijeongbu Main Branch
Cheonpo Hoegwan Uijeongbu Main Branch is an Uijeongbu meat restaurant close to Exit 1 of Uijeongbu Station on the light rail. It's located in the new town area.
Monday through Sunday: 11:00–23:00

Is parking available?
There's no dedicated parking lot, but about 2 cars can park in front of the restaurant. When I visited with another party arriving in a separate car, there weren't many other customers, so we managed to park side by side right in front. As in the photo on the left, you can pull right up to the entrance.

An Uijeongbu new-town favorite with a striking tiled-roof exterior — Cheonpo Hoegwan Uijeongbu Main Branch.

A spacious interior good for group gatherings
The interior is quite spacious with lots of tables. There are a few more tables in a deeper section further inside, making Cheonpo Hoegwan Uijeongbu Main Branch look very well suited to group gatherings.

There are main dishes and lunch specials available. We visited as 4 adults plus one little one, and ordered two servings of pork belly and two servings of beef rolls!

Generous banchan, yukhoe included
The side dishes come out very generously. Minari (water celery) and leafy wraps, yukhoe (raw beef tartare) and ureong doenjang (mud snail soybean paste), salt-sesame dipping sauce and garlic, a dipping sauce for the beef rolls, plus scallions and kimchi for grilling — just looking at the spread of banchan feels satisfying.
And the fact that yukhoe comes as a side dish?! Very satisfying.
Grilling minari kimchi pancake yourself
The batter for a minari kimchi pancake also comes out with the banchan, ready for you to grill.
Pour oil into the heated pan, ladle in the minari kimchi pancake batter, and wait a bit — the pancake comes together quickly.

After a while you can see it slowly setting, flip it swiftly with a spatula, and a delicious kimchi pancake is done.

A quick wipe with a paper towel and you're done! There's a big frying pan and a set of three smaller pans together, so you can grill whichever size you want — a nice touch.
The spoons and chopsticks are individually wrapped too, which is a nice, hygienic detail.
Pork belly, with minari
The fresh meat is ready in no time. I put the pork belly on the grill first.
While chatting away with my group, the good-quality meat browns beautifully with a mouthwatering Maillard reaction.

Cut into bite-sized pieces and eaten with minari, it was pure heaven! The pork belly was tender and really delicious.

So how do the beef rolls taste?
Just as we were finishing the pork belly, I put the beef rolls on the grill.

The beef rolls cook fast, which is great. Roll them around gently and before you know it they're perfectly done.
The beef rolls sizzling away, cooking up deliciously.

Inside the rolled-up beef, the filling is generously packed.
Dip the well-cooked beef roll deep into the sauce and take a bite — absolutely delicious.

Half seaweed flake, half cheese powder fried rice
The grand finale at this Uijeongbu favorite, Cheonpo Hoegwan Uijeongbu Main Branch, is without question the fried rice. We ordered two servings and got two generous rice-bowl-sized mounds of rice, which the staff spread evenly on the grill, then made a well in the middle and cracked an egg into it. Then they sprinkled roasted seaweed flakes over one side... ?!
But it doesn't stop there!!!???!!! They piled on cheese powder generously over the other side, and Cheonpo Hoegwan Uijeongbu Main Branch's signature fried rice was complete!
Since minari isn't for everyone, the staff asked us first before adding it. We said yes, so they topped it with finely chopped minari to finish the fried rice. We only ordered one serving, but it came out incredibly generous and delicious.

Seeing the fried rice spread thick across the grill was so reassuring. The moment it got a little crispy at the bottom, it was delicious, bite after bite!
Final verdict
The banchan was great, the mains were great — thoroughly satisfying! Yukhoe, minari kimchi pancake, delicious pork belly, delicious beef rolls, and a fried rice finish that was truly excellent — Cheonpo Hoegwan Uijeongbu Main Branch, an Uijeongbu favorite that left us completely satisfied.
