Let me introduce Eungkeum Tteokbokki Yeonnam Branch, a Yeonnam-dong favorite. This is the place I'd recommend for a second stop while drinking in Yeonnam-dong! Being open 24 hours makes it great to visit anytime. The menu is varied and it was perfect for a beer alongside spicy tteokbokki. I'd recommend it as a restaurant where you can grab simple Korean snacks and enjoy a cold beer in Yeonnam-dong.

At Eungkeum Tteokbokki Yeonnam Branch, you can choose several options for your tteokbokki to suit your taste. You can pick between wheat rice cakes and regular rice cakes, choose the spice level, and add various sarri (extra add-ins)! After some thought, we went with the wheat rice cake plus udon noodle sarri combo. For spice level, we picked the original setting. It's a bit spicier than Shin Ramyun, and it was just the right kind of spicy-delicious.

The Gimbap-Tteok Single Set! A hearty combo where you can enjoy gimbap and tteokbokki together. Tteokbokki with a cold draft beer — the best, haha.
We ordered the tuna gimbap. The filling was packed generously! The tuna gave it a nutty, savory taste. Dipping it right into the tteokbokki sauce is also really good.
Original Eungkeum tteokbokki with udon sarri
The signature dish, Eungkeum Tteokbokki! Just the right amount of spicy and delicious. I highly recommend adding the udon noodle sarri haha.
The chewy udon noodles were soaked through with the spicy-sweet tteokbokki sauce, which made it delicious. It's hearty enough to make a filling meal.
Adding sundae to the tteokbokki
Adding sundae made the combo complete! You can't skip sundae at a Korean snack restaurant haha. The sundae was moist and delicious, pairing well with the tteokbokki. Dipping the sundae lightly into the tteokbokki sauce added a spicy-sweet kick that made it even more savory and delicious.
Is Eungkeum Tteokbokki worth it as a second stop in Yeonnam-dong?
The combo of spicy tteokbokki with cold draft beer was great. It's a good spot for day-drinking in Yeonnam-dong too. It's also nice for a casual drink with a friend, or an easygoing beer after work.
