On an afternoon with a faint midday sun, I had some business near Jamsil Station and decided to enjoy a rare bit of leisure. While looking for somewhere nearby for a light lunch, the yellow outdoor tables caught my eye. Since I'd been wanting crispy bread with a strong cup of coffee, I walked in with some excitement.

I'd noticed this place before while passing by, and dropping in slightly outside the lunch peak gave it a much more relaxed feel. The moment the door opened, the nutty smell of baguette baking drifted out, and my anticipation quietly built!

I'd come in thinking of a simple meal, but the hearty composition of the set menu made me satisfied from the very first impression.

Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch has a well-set-up bar-style seating area inside that's great for sitting alone. Warm light pours in through the big window, and outside there are cute yellow parasol tables, perfect for enjoying an outdoor mood on a nice day! Watching people pass between the green street trees, it was a really comfortable atmosphere to linger in.

The moment the soup set and apple jambon-beurre arrived, my eyes were drawn to the thick layers of jambon. Biting into the baguette, the outside was crisp while the inside chewed soft, not tough at all.

The jambon filling was very fresh and generous, delivering a heavy, savory-salty flavor that filled the mouth! The apple cinnamon aroma and sweetness added a pleasant touch.

Served warm, the cream soup had a gentle sweetness and umami that kept my spoon moving.

Dipping the crispy baguette rusk that came with it into the rich soup was another treat~

The sweetness and saltiness were well balanced, so it went down clean the whole time without feeling heavy.

Washing it down with the bitter, clean iced americano made from Town Blend beans refreshed my palate nicely.

At Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch, you can choose to have your sandwich cut into 2 or 3 pieces when ordering, which made it really easy to hold and eat neatly! Because it's baked on a dedicated baguette at a HACCP-certified facility, it didn't get soggy even after some time passed.

The packaging system and Naver reservations are well set up too, so it looks really useful for nearby office workers picking up lunch. It's also close to Olympic Park and Jamsil Hangang Park, so it would be great to bring along on a weekend outing~

I finished off the crispy baguette, the generously prepared filling, and the hearty bowl of soup without leaving anything behind. This is a place that comes to mind when you want a simple but properly put-together meal or brunch near Jamsil Station.

It's a comfortable place to sit alone and relax while looking out the window, so I plan to stop by again on my next Jamsil trip! Once it gets cooler, I'd love to pack a generous amount of baguette sandwiches and lay them out on a Han River picnic table~
