I arrived at Kkotgeok Cheonan Yuryang-dong Branch.

Kkotgeok Cheonan Yuryang-dong Branch is spread across a really wide traditional hanok, and just looking at the building felt kind of healing. Sitting in Yuryang-dong's relaxed atmosphere, it felt quite different from a typical city restaurant.

Parking is available right in front of the store, which made it convenient to drive there, and also convenient for family visits or group gatherings. Especially nice for anyone looking for a dog-friendly restaurant in Cheonan — the annex lets you dine with your dog. A separate space for pets is operated, so you can enjoy your meal even more comfortably.

What are the hall, private room, and annex seats like?

Walking into Kkotgeok Cheonan Yuryang-dong Branch, the clean yet comfortable atmosphere stood out. The ceiling is high, so the hall feels really open.

Albaegi set: soy-marinated crab and spicy seasoned crab, half and half

They started by setting out the side dishes.

It really felt like something my mom back home would make, so neat and clean. And finally, the albaegi set I'd been waiting for arrived! The soy-marinated crab and seasoned crab looked so good together that just seeing them made me think of a full bowl of rice.

First I picked the meat off the soy-marinated crab (ganjang gejang) and put it over warm rice.

Savory and salty with real depth of flavor, it went perfectly with the rice.

Especially mixing the rich part inside the crab shell with rice, I really understood why crab is called 'rice thief.'

The spicy seasoned crab (yangnyeom gejang) had a different charm entirely from the soy version. The spicy-sweet sauce paired beautifully with the crab meat and really woke up my appetite.

Above all, being able to enjoy soy crab and spicy crab half and half was the biggest strength of the albaegi set.

Ordering just one style could feel like something's missing, but getting to try both at once made for a really satisfying meal.

Dessert at Kkotgeok: plum and pomegranate juice with an iced americano

For dessert there was plum juice and pomegranate juice, and on top of that an iced americano was available too, which made the meal even more enjoyable. It really was a perfect meal.
