Is there a wait at Cocker Noodle Two on a weekday evening?

Today I'm introducing Cocker Noodle Two, located near Songpanaru Station. My sister and I had errands in Songridan-gil so we stopped by! We went on a weekday evening and got seated right away with no wait ~ ✌🏻 I was already starving, so I was super excited to eat some good ramen.

Cocker Noodle Two is about 5 minutes from Exit 4 of Songpanaru Station 🐔 The big "Korean ramen" lettering and the cute chicken logo at the entrance really caught my eye.

The restaurant was spacious, clean, and comfortable to eat in. The wide gap between tables was a total plus too!

You can order ramen à la carte, or as a set with buchu jjimdak (leek-wrapped braised chicken)!

You can also add extra noodles, and a half bowl of rice is free. But if you leave it unfinished there's a fine, so only order what you'll actually eat!

This is what we ordered. Being able to choose the noodle type was great for picking what suited our taste!

The two ramen bowls came out first — just look at that visual ... 🤤 seriously insane haha. It came out even more generous than I expected, I was surprised.

Chicken char siu mala ramen with thick noodles

I tried Cocker Noodle Two's chicken char siu mala ramen as a mala lover, and the distinctive numbing mala flavor really came through. It went so well together when I ate the noodles with all the toppings — bean sprouts, wood ear mushroom, quail eggs, chicken char siu!

This is roughly how thick the thick noodles are. I worried they might not mesh with the broth, but that worry was pointless — the broth soaked into the noodles so well, it was really delicious :)

Chicken drumstick ramen with thin noodles

Next up, chicken drumstick ramen! True to its name, a whole big drumstick sits right on top. The broth is clear yet has deep chicken flavor, so even though I hadn't been drinking, it somehow felt like a hangover cure.

This is the thin noodles! Even though they're thin, they didn't get mushy or soggy, so even I — a die-hard thick-noodle person — enjoyed them.

What does the North Korean-style buchu jjimdak taste like?

While we were busy working through the ramen, the buchu jjimdak arrived too! Wrapping the big chunks of chicken in leek and dipping it in the sauce, the fragrant leek and chicken paired so well, this was really tasty too ... Isn't Northern-style jjimdak trending lately?! What to know before visiting Cocker Noodle Two

Unfortunately no pets, no corkage, and no parking, so keep that in mind ㅠ.ㅠ

Overall, every single dish at Cocker Noodle Two was delicious and the portions were generous, so I was really satisfied. From mala ramen to drumstick ramen to buchu jjimdak, we had a solid, filling meal (honestly I thought I was going to burst). If you're around Seokchon Lake or Songridan-gil and want good ramen, this is the place, no question ... I want to come back once it gets colder and try the warm guk-bap (soup with rice) too!
