I went on a trip to Gangneung, Gangwon-do! When you think of Gangneung, tofu comes to mind, but did you know the café scene there is famous too?? This Gangneung café is a roastery café where you can enjoy hand-drip coffee made from beans they roast themselves! Everything here was perfect, from the vibe to the taste! If you're looking for where to go for coffee in Gangneung, I highly recommend this place!

Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon 10:00–18:00 / Tue (regular closing day)

It's really close to Gangneung's Chodang Tofu Village, whether by car or on foot. There are famous spots nearby too, like the St. John's Hotel and Arte Museum, so if you're coming to Gangneung for a date, this is a café you have to check out!

The landscaping is beautiful and the café has such a nice atmosphere — if you still haven't decided where to go for coffee in Gangneung, or you're looking for somewhere to go after eating Chodang tofu, I recommend this café in Chodang Tofu Village!

Parking at Coffee Dripper: a private lot for about 13 cars

Coffee Dripper has its own parking lot too, with space for around 13 cars?? A place with easy parking is the best in Gangneung, you know, since most people come by car!

Inside Coffee Dripper: classical music and solo seats

I stepped inside the café! It was so clean?? Quiet classical music was playing when I visited, and it really gave me the feeling of stepping into a sophisticated café! If you're looking for a Gangneung café with a great atmosphere, you have to come here!

The café was clean and the interior was beautiful too! It was also spacious and comfortable??

The solo seats were great for drinking coffee while working on a laptop or reading?? It's also close to Gangneung Station, and about a 10-minute walk from Gangmun Beach, which is even better??

I loved that soft classical music played throughout the café! They said they've been doing classical-music coffee in this same spot for over 10 years! The tables and chairs were spaced out comfortably, so I didn't have to worry about being cramped!

In the back there's a bit of a group seating area — a space where you can sit quietly too!

It was really lovely?? They said the beans are roasted directly in Gyodong, Gangneung, so I had to try them right away!

The restroom was clean and nice too??

Coffee Dripper's signature menu items are apparently the Dripper Latte, the Choco Cone Latte (with the cone as the cup), the Coffee Soft Serve made with espresso, Chodang Tofu Pudding, Pine Forest Matcha Latte, and Lemonade Sunset?? I ordered the Dripper Signature Cream Latte and the Dripper House Blend! The master's recommended beans! I personally love Americanos and drip coffee.

How does the master's-pick hand-drip coffee taste?

My order arrived! The coffee came out together with the Signature Dripper Latte! And once you finish the House Blend drip coffee, they give you a cup of tea too!

Looks like single-origin beans — Ethiopia, Colombia, Brazil??

Maybe because it's hand-drip coffee, it tasted so clean and good! Nutty, and not bitter at all — it went really well together!

The Dripper Latte has white almond mocha in it, so it's slightly sweet and refreshing — the kind of taste that makes you want to keep drinking it! If you're coming to Gangneung for a date and looking for a café, give this place a try! I was so satisfied that I'm planning to come back again!
