A little while ago, while looking for somewhere to have dinner before seeing a movie at Lotte Tower, I found this distinctive Korean BBQ restaurant around Bangi Station and paid it a visit. As soon as I walked in, the spacious, clean atmosphere caught my eye—it was bigger than I expected—and the tables were nicely spaced, so it was easy to eat comfortably. There was plenty of parking, and it was not far from the station either, so getting there was very convenient. If you are looking for a Korean BBQ restaurant around Bangi Station, I would recommend trying it at least once, haha.

What are the private rooms and group spaces like?
There were quite a lot of tables inside the restaurant, and I especially liked that there were private rooms for company dinners or gatherings. Since the rooms can be closed off even if the surrounding area gets a little noisy, I thought they would work well for anyone looking for a place for a group dinner! There were plenty of tables inside the rooms too, so it seemed like groups of 20 or more could comfortably come and eat.
Dangsan Odol menu

The meat at Dangsan Odol looked delicious, of course, but the teolleogi sujebi (hand-pulled dough soup), a lunch-special menu item, also caught my eye. Teolleogi is a dish simmered with various vegetables and ingredients, and I heard they also offer dishes using mulberry leaves here. Mulberry leaves are known to contain dietary fiber and various nutrients, so I thought this could be a menu item of interest to anyone looking for a wholesome meal.

Another major feature here is that, beyond the usual samgyeopsal (pork belly) and pork neck, you can try a range of special cuts. There were plenty of options, including kkodeulsal, odol galbi, lamb ribs, marinated pork neck, and scored pork rind. There were also lots of noodle and dessert options.

How did we eat the lamb ribs?
We ordered the lamb ribs that day. If you enjoy lamb, this seemed like a menu item where you can really enjoy its distinctive flavor.

How to grill the meat
There was also a guide for grilling the meat deliciously here. It said to turn the kkodeulsal and pork rind about every 15 seconds, and the pork neck about every 20 seconds. I wondered whether the meat really needed to be turned so often, but when we grilled it while turning it at the right times, the outside browned nicely while the inside stayed juicy, so it was delicious haha.

I already like lamb skewers, and the lamb ribs were wonderfully nutty too. With lamb skewers, it can be a little inconvenient having to pull off each piece one by one, but with lamb ribs, once you cut them with scissors, they were very easy to eat piece by piece. The fun of eating the meat and then nibbling off even what was left on the bone has really stayed with me.

Steamed egg after the lamb ribs
After having plenty of lamb ribs, we also ordered steamed egg. Served generously in a ttukbaegi (earthenware pot), it was soft and warm, went well with the meat, and felt like it freshened up the palate between bites. Overall, what impressed me about Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch was being able to try a variety of cuts, including kkodeulsal, odol galbi, and lamb ribs, rather than only familiar pork belly or pork neck. If you are looking for a good restaurant near Bangi Station, a Bangi Station Korean BBQ restaurant where you can try something different, or a venue for a company dinner, it could be worth a visit!
