Today I’m bringing you a review of BAS Burger Euljiro Branch (바스버거 을지로점), an Euljiro spot I want to introduce to handmade-burger lovers!! There are seriously so many good places to eat in Euljiro that choosing is hard, but I was craving a really filling handmade burger for the first time in a while, so I stopped by haha. And to give you the conclusion first: the burgers were great, but I liked the atmosphere even more than I expected... This is somewhere I’d recommend to people looking for good food in Euljiro who don’t want to miss out on a cool vibe, too!

A cool basement vibe near Euljiro 3-ga Station
It’s near Euljiro 3-ga Station, and the restaurant is downstairs! It feels sooo Euljiro from the entrance onward lol. The BAS BURGER sign and red-and-green neon make it easy to spot from a distance.

I love these hidden Euljiro places tucked underground ㅠㅠ The second you head downstairs, it feels like a totally different space is about to appear...

Once you go down, the restaurant is more spacious than I expected! With brick walls, low lighting, and neon signs, it has a bit of an American pub feel—but it didn’t feel overly loud or hectic.

And it was perfect for eating alone, too! Such a no-self-consciousness kind of atmosphere!

Especially the long table in the back!! The ceiling neon is colorful too, so I thought this was the prettiest spot haha. Seems great for groups as well!

Free potato chips and lots of sauces
And then I discovered this... the potato chips are free!!!!!! And they’re high quality!!!!!! They’re super crunchy, so they’re perfect to nibble on one by one before the burgers arrive.

They also had several sauces ready, and when you order a set or fried items, you can tell them which sauce you want! There’s BAS Burger house sauce, pollock roe mayo, BBQ, ranch, and honey mustard. For an extra charge, you can also choose shishito pepper red mayo dip or truffle mayo dip! This is a dangerously tempting corner for sauce lovers...

You can also see the kitchen off to one side! Watching the patties being grilled just makes you hungrier for no reason, right? ㅠㅠㅠ I waited while watching them sizzle away as soon as the order went in haha.

The burgers and sides we ordered
They’re finally here!!!!! We ordered:
Triple BAS Burger + added hash brown (₩17,300) Chicken Burger (Tartar) Onion rings Zero Cola (three-item set ₩13,600) Shishito pepper red mayo dip! (₩1,000)
With two burgers and sides spread out, it looked seriously filling right from the start... haha.

Triple BAS Burger with an added hash brown
First, the Triple BAS Burger that I had! The name alone, Triple, sounded no joke, and I added a hash brown to it too lol. + And the shishito pepper red mayo dip is something I really want you to try with it!!!! Just from the name, you might think, shishito pepper...? In a burger...? But this little thing is delicious... Its thick, rich mayo base gets a slight kick from the shishito peppers, so it went really well with the greasy burger!

With all those beef patties stacked up, it was genuinely heavy when I held it in one hand... You need to open your mouth very wide to eat it in one bite haha. But adding the hash brown was such a good choice!!!! The crunchy hash brown between the juicy, salty meat patties really brought the texture to life. The onion, tomato, and lettuce pieces were fairly big too, so it wasn’t as rich as I expected!

A chicken burger bigger than its bun and crunchy onion rings
And the Chicken Burger (Tartar) we ordered too! While I was taking photos, the chicken was just sticking right out of the burger lol. Seriously, what is this chicken size...? It was even clearer when I picked it up—the chicken was bigger than the bun ㅠㅠㅠ

It had crispy fried chicken, big pieces of lettuce, and tartar sauce, so it was a great combination! While the Triple BAS Burger was meaty and substantial, this one was centered on crunchy chicken, making these two a good pair to order and share.

I debated fries or onion rings, but chose onion rings that day. They were nice and big, with crispy batter, so they were perfect to pick at between burger bites. And dipping them in that shishito pepper red mayo dip from earlier... an impossible-to-dislike combination, complete ^^.... We ordered Zero Cola too, because when you’re eating something this greasy and happy, you have to preserve at least a little bit of conscience with Zero Cola haha.
Personally, my favorite thing that day was the Triple BAS Burger with the added hash brown! If it were just lots of patties, it might get tiring to eat, but the crunchy hash brown in the middle and the big vegetables made for a better combination than I expected ㅠㅠ And with the shishito pepper red mayo dip, it had every flavor and texture I love: salty + rich + spicy + crunchy...
