I love hunting for new cafés, but there are a few spots I keep going back to for some reason. Eojil In, the Wangsimni café I'm introducing today, is one of those places for me. I've visited more than five times now — this time I went with family after a while.

I thought it would be a bit quiet since it was a weekday evening, but there were way more people than expected! The second floor was almost fully booked, so I waited a bit before getting a seat — popular places really do have their reasons ☕️

Eojil In gives off a warm vibe right from the outside. The soft lighting makes the evening atmosphere even more emotional. It looks so good even from a distance that your feet naturally head that way! It's one of the cafés that comes to mind when I want to spend some quiet time near Wangsimni Station.

Eojil In is split into a first and second floor. The first floor has the ordering area and the dessert showcase, and there were more dessert types than I expected, so I spent a while browsing before ordering 🤍

The menu board was laid out clearly, with coffee, lattes, teas, and ades all on offer, making it easy to pick something to your taste. The bean descriptions were also written in detail, so coffee lovers might want to read through before ordering.

What is in the dessert showcase at Eojil In?

Inside Eojil In's showcase were baked goods like madeleines, financiers, and scones, plus Basque cheesecake and various other cake types. Everything was displayed so appetizingly that it was pretty hard to decide what to order.

There were several kinds of Basque cheesecake in particular, and it seems like some menu items change by season. There's a fun element of discovering something new every time you go, so dessert lovers will probably be even more satisfied. It's a place where just having coffee feels like a shame, so I'd recommend ordering at least one dessert along with it ✨

How the americano tastes at Eojil In

First, the hot americano had an impressively nutty flavor. The acidity wasn't strong, so it was easy to drink without any burden, and it paired well with the desserts. The iced americano was clean too! It finished crisp with no lingering bitterness, which I personally found satisfying. The consistent coffee quality is one of the reasons I keep coming back ☕️

Basque cheesecake at Eojil In

The Basque cheesecake looked appetizing just to look at. The surface was deeply baked with a nutty aroma, and the inside was moist with a soft, pleasant texture. The cheese flavor was rich too, so cheesecake lovers will probably be satisfied. It wasn't too sweet, so it went perfectly with the americano. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes a dense, thick cheesecake 🤍

Pain au Suisse at Eojil In

And the item I was most curious about this time — the pain au Suisse. It seemed to be a new menu item, so I ordered it, and it was far more satisfying than I expected! The bread had a lovely layered texture, and the sweet filling wasn't overdone, so it was easy to eat without feeling heavy. It went even better with the coffee. Personally, this is a menu item I think I'd order again next visit! A flavor that quietly kept coming to mind, haha.

I've already visited more than five times, but every time I go, I can settle in comfortably, which is why I keep coming back. Good atmosphere, decent coffee, satisfying desserts, and above all, a space where you don't feel pressured even sitting for a long time — that's what makes me like it even more.
