Apgujeong Rodeo hair salon repairs perm-damaged kid's hair: Biorn Hair

Strong sunlight plus perm treatments turned my first kid's hair into a frizzy broom ㅠㅠ After a lot of deliberation, I went to Biorn Hair Apgujeong Rodeo, which is word-of-mouth famous for its clinic treatments :)

Damaged hair has its limits with home care alone, so regular professional salon care is essential — and I was so happy with this clinic treatment that I wanted to leave a thorough review!

What's the vibe like inside?

The moment I walked in, the bright, clean interior caught my eye. It felt like a café haha😆

Being a popular Apgujeong salon, plenty of people were already getting their hair done hahaha

The big windows let in plenty of natural light, giving the space that open, 3rd-floor view feeling. You have to sit there for a while at a salon, so it was nice not to feel cooped up🤩

Consultation: my kid's hair damaged by perm and straightening

After confirming the reservation, we were shown to our seats with almost no wait, and the consultation began in a relaxed atmosphere over a welcome tea.

We decided to have my first kid get the clinic treatment from designer Hyunbin, who transformed my dry summer hair into something so silky!

He's at the age where he really wants to look stylish, so he got a perm and straightening treatment this year. Apparently home care alone couldn't keep up, and his hair was in a pretty dry state 😭

The ends especially were split, and you could see the dryness with your own eyes ㅠㅠ

Clinic-specific shampoo (removing buildup)

First, silicone residue and buildup left on the hair and scalp are thoroughly cleansed, and the hair cuticle is opened so that the nutrients can penetrate deeply in later steps.

They have ergonomic reclining shampoo chairs that don't strain your neck or back, so even a long clinic treatment stays comfortable 👍

Moisture base & liquid protein application

Dried-out, damaged hair gets soaked in moisture and low-molecular protein. The stylist carefully sectioned the hair and hand-worked it in to boost absorption.

They also did two rounds of heat treatment so the nutrients could penetrate deep into the hair. The cuticle opens up and you can feel the moisture and protein soaking right in!

High-concentration oil & keratin supply

With the moisture locked in, they balance the oil so it doesn't escape, then fill the hair with high-molecular keratin for firm elasticity.

Cuticle coating and finishing treatment

The final step happens back at the shampoo bowl, with a protective mask that smooths the cuticle shut. He even got a full-body massage in the massage chair hahaha, my first kid loved it so much😆

Steam mist care

A warm mist machine is applied and left on so the nutrients can soak deep into the hair.

They even gave a really satisfying acupressure massage all over. They kept chatting with my kid, asking if anything felt uncomfortable, and were careful about the pressure — I was really grateful hahaha

How his hair changed after the clinic

They finished the blow-dry exactly to his taste, so pretty🩷

Can you see the angel ring?! Just from blow-drying, there's a soft shine running from the crown down to the mid-lengths. Instead of the frizzy flyaways you'd get from the wind, the protein and moisture fill it out so it falls with real weight and bounce🤩👍

They said waiting about 24 hours before shampooing after the treatment helps the protein stay in!

• Zero tangling at the fingertips — the hair that used to snag and break mid-comb now slides smoothly through your fingers.
• Natural shine and elasticity — not the heavy, clumped feeling of silicone, but a bouncy elasticity from protein filling the inside of the hair.
• Shorter drying time — with the moisture restored, the hair settles down more calmly than usual when blow-drying.
