Haeundae café for chocolate financiers: Low & Sweet Bakery

We were out on a date around Haeundae and started craving a delicious dessert with a warm cup of coffee. So we headed to Low & Sweet Bakery (로우앤스윗 베이커리), the Haeundae café everyone has been talking about lately.

The second we opened the door, the hiply styled space was packed, and I thought, “Okay, this really is the place to be.” Once I tried it, I completely understood why every seat was taken. From the atmosphere to the sweet chocolate financier, everything was perfect.

This is a happening spot where you can enjoy house-roasted coffee and excellent baked goods in a hip, design-forward space. It is a great fit for anyone looking for a trendy Haeundae café with seriously good desserts, or for those needing a comfortable place to stay with children or a dog.

Is it close to Haeundae Station, and is parking available?

It is exactly a four-minute walk from Exit 4 of Haeundae Station, so getting there is very easy. You can use Low & Sweet’s two free dedicated spaces, Nos. 41 and 42, right in front of the café. If those are full, there is paid public parking in front of the roastery, so it was still pretty convenient to drive.

A hip but comfortable café atmosphere

It feels polished yet comfortable, and it was already completely full when we arrived—clearly it is very popular.

And true to the sign saying “ALL SOULS WELCOME,” dogs are welcome too. They even have milk and vanilla milk as kids’ menu options, which made the warm, welcoming atmosphere for everyone especially lovely.

The menu and the baked goods we ordered

Hot Americano and dessert, together

We took away the baked goods we ordered along with a hot Americano.

The first thing that won me over was the chocolate financier! The moment I took a bite, the deep, refined chocolate flavor filled my mouth, and its chewy texture made it seriously delicious.

A sip of the house-roasted hot Americano followed by the financier was just such a good balance.

The other baked goods we tried were excellent too: salt bread with a lovely buttery hollow and an egg tart that was crisp outside, soft inside, and generously filled.

Every dessert we chose was delicious, so there was no miss. Since they put out freshly baked breads every morning from 8 a.m., the freshness and depth of flavor really felt different. What a wonderful Haeundae café.

Can I bring children and a dog?

Absolutely! Both the indoor space and terrace are comfortable to use, and the separate milk menu for children shows just how considerate this place is.

When is a good time to visit?

Because it opens early at 8 a.m., I also recommend stopping by in the morning for a leisurely morning coffee if you want to try a range of freshly baked pastries and breads!

Every item we ordered was good, from the sweet, chewy chocolate financier to the savory, nutty salt bread and generously filled egg tart.
