In short
Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch is a pork BBQ restaurant three minutes on foot from Exit 3 of Sinjung-dong Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi, serving Boseong green pork and Jirisan black pork. Walking in at 5pm on a Friday with no wait, the writer ordered two servings of pork belly and one of pork jowl with doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), then finished with bomb egg custard (gyeran-jjim) and fried rice, all grilled from start to finish by staff on a grill with a warming plate. The extra-charge sliced potato wraps were the most memorable bite of the meal at Cham Dwaejitgan.

On a date in Bucheon with my partner, I suddenly craved pork belly so hard, and after some searching Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch looked promising! They have all kinds of pork cuts — belly, jowl, black pork — and staff actually grill everything for you tableside.
That day we started with two servings of pork belly and one of pork jowl, then went all the way through doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), fried rice, and egg soufflé haha. Beyond the meat itself, the side dishes were great too — kimchi, bean sprouts, minari (water dropwort) grilled alongside, and even a potato wrap. Both of us walked out really satisfied. Let me go through it step by step~

Cham Dwaejitgan is a BBQ restaurant where you can enjoy a range of pork cuts, from belly to jowl to black pork. What stands out most is that staff grill the meat for you directly — you don't have to worry about the fire at all and can just enjoy the meal along with all the side dishes. A relaxed way to enjoy pork belly in Bucheon's Sinjung-dong area!
How to get to Cham Dwaejitgan from Sinjung-dong Station
Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch is about a 3-minute walk from Sinjung-dong Station Exit 3. Walk toward Lotte Department Store and turn into the alley between McDonald's and KFC, and you'll spot it quickly. Once you're in the alley, the place is easy to notice — it's pretty large and the exterior looks clean overall.

Right at the entrance, the signature meat menu and prices are displayed clearly, so it was easy to plan what to order before even walking in.

There's a waitlist kiosk on one side, so during busy hours you can register and wait there.
I've been near Bucheon Station a few times but this was my first time around Sinjung-dong Station, and it was interesting to see — this area is basically a food street too, with tons of good restaurants, especially pork belly places haha!? We visited on a Friday at 5pm and got seated right away, no waiting at all!!
Inside Cham Dwaejitgan: self-serve bar and amenities
The first thing I noticed walking into Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch was that it's much bigger than I expected. There are plenty of tables, and the spacing between seats isn't cramped, so it works well whether it's just two people or a bigger group. It seemed like a great spot for a company dinner too!!
We were seated near a window by the entrance, and since the weather had warmed up and the door was open, it felt surprisingly airy rather than stuffy. BBQ places can sometimes feel a bit heavy with smoke and heat, but being near the entrance meant a little breeze came through and everything felt pretty comfortable overall. This is the row of seats on the left in the first photo!!

There's a separate area inside where the meat is stored, so you can actually see it, which felt reassuring — like you're really at a meat specialty place — and got me a little excited even before the food arrived haha.

There's also a self-serve bar on one side. You can help yourself to kimchi, lettuce, perilla leaves, and other vegetable sides to go with the meat, as much as you like. Everything except minari (water dropwort) is available for refills, and there's a good variety of sauces and accompaniments so you can mix and match. Personally, the potato wrap was really delicious, but unfortunately potatoes are an extra menu item you have to order separately ㅠㅠ

They also had a range of amenities ready — kids' tableware, hair ties, disposable aprons. Some are just out for anyone to grab, and others you can ask staff for, which felt quite thoughtful. The restrooms were also kept clean overall, so it was comfortable to use :)
Cham Dwaejitgan menu and prices in Bucheon
The menu centers on Boseong free-range pork and Jirisan black pork, with a wide range including belly, neck meat, jowl, and skirt meat! Inside, you order through a table tablet with no printed menu, so I've pulled the menu from the official source!! Cham Dwaejitgan's signature meat menu is broadly split into Boseong free-range pork and Jirisan black pork, and all portions are 160g per serving!!
- Boseong free-range pork — Pork belly ₩16,000 / flower neck meat ₩16,000 / pork jowl ₩19,000 / skirt meat ₩19,000
- Jirisan black pork — Five-layer belly ₩19,000 / neck meat ₩18,000
Beyond the meat, there's also doenjang jjigae, kimchi jjigae, naengmyeon (cold noodles), and side menus like egg soufflé and fried rice. That day we ordered 2 servings of pork belly + 1 serving of pork jowl + doenjang jjigae, and at the end added fried rice and egg soufflé too :)

As shown above, each table has a table-order tablet for easy ordering, and I've attached the menu items I browsed on the tablet too!!
Banchan setup and the two-tier grill with a warming plate

Once we ordered, they set up the basics first!! The grill itself is neat — it's split into a main grilling area and a separate warming section for cooking vegetables or keeping already-grilled meat warm, which I really loved!! They also brought out sliced kimchi right away, along with a full spread of sauces — wasabi, shiitake wasabi, garlic, ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste), kimchi, and more!!

After a short wait, they brought out the meat we ordered! Doesn't the color of the meat alone look delicious? They also brought the potatoes at this point — so yes, potatoes are extra ㅠㅠ. A lot of pork restaurants offer grilling service these days, but Cham Dwaejitgan does too, of course! With staff grilling everything, we could just relax and eat haha.
Want to see it in video too? They grill it golden-brown on both sides, cut it up, then grill it once more~~ Such careful attention, and I really appreciated it!!
How the staff-grilled pork belly tastes
Let's take a moment to appreciate the staff's grilling service in photos~~

The golden-brown pork belly was nicely crisp on the outside and juicy inside — delicious from the very first bite.
It was thick enough to have good chew, and even though it's a fatty cut, it wasn't overwhelmingly greasy, so I kept reaching for more. The combination with the grilled kimchi, bean sprouts, and minari was especially good.
The meat must have been well-aged, because it tasted amazing even with just a light dip in salt, so both my partner and I basically inhaled it haha. My partner's been so busy at work lately that even lunch has mostly gone untouched, but after one bite of this meat—
Oh, it's not that I have no appetite — I just haven't been eating anything good
—they said, and just kept eating happily haha haha.

They bring out all the meat at once when you order, then grill it in sequence! After clearing the pork belly, they moved right on to grilling the pork jowl beautifully, and at this point also grilled the potatoes and mushrooms together haha.
Pork jowl and the standout sliced potato wraps

The pork jowl had that signature springy texture, and the more you chewed, the more the savory flavor came through, making it great to alternate with the pork belly. I usually prefer pork jowl over belly, but personally at Cham Dwaejitgan the pork belly felt tastier! And since the pork belly was so good, now I'm really curious about the five-layer belly... but honestly, the real standout dish here is that potato wrap..!!
Wrapping a nicely cooked thin slice of potato with meat, sauce, and vegetables was genuinely so good that if it hadn't been an extra menu item, I probably would have loaded up on nothing but potatoes haha haha. I debated adding more but held back. Next time I'll just order extra potatoes from the start haha.

Well-grilled meat can be kept warm on the lower section like this, so I really appreciated this grill setup... I saw that Cham Dwaejitgan is a chain, so if I ever crave pork belly somewhere else, I'll definitely go again!! Ah, and thinking about that potato wrap right now still makes me want more... seriously so good!!
Doenjang jjigae, bomb egg custard and fried rice to finish
Ah haha, I got so caught up talking about the meat that I forgot the doenjang jjigae. The one we ordered had exactly the rich, savory flavor you'd expect from a BBQ place, and it was delicious.
It was great to spoon between bites of meat and also paired well with rice — a reliably tasty BBQ-restaurant version of doenjang jjigae! We debated ordering more meat but figured it wouldn't quite match that first-bite feeling, so we decided to come back another time for more meat and ordered fried rice and egg soufflé instead!!
Fried rice and the egg soufflé!! The egg soufflé was fluffy and soft, so I kept going back for more, though it was a little on the bland side — this might vary depending on your taste haha. Maybe the mild seasoning is exactly why it was easy to keep eating...? It paired really well with the fried rice. Fried rice was the perfect closing dish after all that meat.
Of course, the staff cooked the fried rice from start to finish too, so we just waited comfortably and enjoyed it when it arrived haha. The staff were also friendly and attentive from the moment we ordered until we finished eating, which made for a pleasant meal overall :)

The fried rice was also a perfect way to wrap up the meal after all that meat. Savory and salty, it kept me reaching for more haha. From pork belly to jowl to the fried rice side, it was a meal we enjoyed all the way through :)

Overall, the meat was excellent, and being able to relax while staff handled all the grilling was especially satisfying! From pork belly to jowl to the various sides and accompaniments, everything was delicious, and the staff were friendly too, making for a pleasant time with my partner haha.

We enjoyed it so much that we'll definitely be back, and next time we're making sure to try the five-layer belly!!
