Why I decided to color my whole short bob

My hair color had gotten pretty uneven overall lately, and the roots were bothering me too, so I decided it was time to dye it. Designer Dayoung looked at my current hair color and overall condition, then helped me decide on a color together. I liked that it wasn't just about picking a color I wanted — she looked at my skin tone, hair base, and previous coloring history to find something that would actually suit me.

Before starting the actual coloring, she carefully applied Ahyunchae scalp protector all over my scalp.

If you dye your hair often, you probably worry as much about your scalp condition as the color itself.

I have a sensitive scalp too, so I was worried there might be stinging or a burning feeling during the treatment,

but once I mentioned this, she checked my scalp condition carefully. Having my scalp taken care of first before the dye went on, rather than jumping straight in, felt much more comfortable to me personally.

This time, instead of just doing the roots, she dyed my whole short bob. She applied the dye carefully so the existing color and the new growth would blend naturally, and adjusted the overall tone to bring out that clean look a short bob is known for. Once the color had developed enough, I moved to the shampoo area to rinse out the remaining dye thoroughly.

The scalp got shampooed carefully too, so I felt refreshed after the treatment, and then I got finishing care with the Ahyunchae hair clinic. Even with a short bob, if the hair feels dry or frizzy after coloring, the style won't look as clean. Taking care of the hair condition along with the color seemed to bring out more shine and a more polished look after blow-drying.

After the blow-dry was done, the color that had been bothering me for being so uneven was now clean and even all over.

Getting a full color on my short bob from designer Dayoung at TONI&GUY Daechi, a hair salon in Daechi-dong, Gangnam, what stuck with me most was how thorough the consultation was.

She looked at my current hair condition, helped me settle on a direction that suited me, and took care of my scalp before starting the treatment, which made the whole thing comfortable from start to finish.
