Smoothie café in Songdo with 5-minute kiosk pickup: Ugly Tongue
In short
Ugly Tongue is a health smoothie café on Haedoji-ro in Songdo, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, selling smoothies, coffee, blue ice cream and salads. A diet smoothie (15,000 won) and an americano ordered at the Ugly Tongue kiosk were ready for pickup in about 5 minutes, and the wait left time to smell the opened tea leaves on display. The diet smoothie was thick without being heavy and the americano was low on acidity — a good pair for getting through the afternoon.

Ugly Tongue has been getting popular lately for its American-style health smoothies. The place also sells coffee, blue ice cream, and salads. I'd been curious every time I passed by, and finally stopped in one day when I was hungry nearby.
First impressions of Ugly Tongue in Songdo
Ugly Tongue is a smoothie café on Haedoji-ro in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. The interior is clean, and even though just one minute of walking in the summer heat left me dripping with sweat, all the colorful smoothies looked delicious.

I'd just come from a massage and was pretty hungry, so amid all the burgers, pork cutlets, pizza, and tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) options, choosing a diet smoothie somehow felt like a wholesome, glowed-up moment — I was practically drawn to it.
Ugly Tongue Songdo menu and prices

Ugly Tongue's signature menu includes the Relax Smoothie (Stress Down) at ₩15,000, which helps you unwind, and the Diet Smoothie, also ₩15,000, which can support weight management. There's also the Brain-Booster Smoothie, Anti-Aging Secret Smoothie, Immune Boost Smoothie, Blood Circulation Smoothie, and Protein Smoothie. You can see at a glance what ingredients go into each one.

Besides smoothies, there's also a coffee menu including americano and espresso, plus trendy drinks like ube latte, matcha latte, and premium latte.

They use oat milk, so it should feel smoother and nuttier.

They also sell salads to pair with the smoothies.

Ordering at the kiosk and seeing the tea leaves while waiting
At Ugly Tongue, you order through a kiosk. While my order was being made, I checked out the café interior I'd been curious about.

I usually enjoy drinking tea, so browsing all the tea leaves at Ugly Tongue made time fly.

The tea bags were left open so you could smell each one and get a sense of the raw ingredients, which really helps you imagine what the brewed tea will taste like when picking a menu. Personally, I'd love to try the shower tea next time.
How were Ugly Tongue's diet smoothie and americano?

I picked the diet smoothie, plus an americano for the caffeine boost I'd need for my afternoon parenting shift.

Including the time it took to make everything, it was about 5 minutes from ordering to pickup. It might take a bit longer during busy hours.

The ingredients in the Diet Smoothie are banana, blueberry, fig, lemon, coconut water, maple syrup, and kale powder.

It's not a combination I usually drink, so it felt refreshing — I usually just eat figs plain, so it was surprising to have them blended into a smoothie.

The americano was better than expected too. Not too dark, not too sour — right in the middle, so it should suit most people's taste.

You can dine in at the café, but I picked mine up for a quicker break.

It wasn't too thick or too thin — just the right consistency, which I loved. Blending banana, blueberry, fig, lemon, and coconut water myself at home would be such a hassle, so being able to get a smoothie this light yet filling for a health boost was really nice.
Honestly, I went back and forth a lot with the Relax Down — next time I'll have to go try that one. Lately parenting stress and hospital stress have really been piling up. True to Ugly Tongue's motto of restoring health through the five tastes the tongue can sense, I woke up my taste buds with a delicious smoothie and powered through the rest of my parenting afternoon.
