Men's perm at a Songdo hair salon in Incheon: Juno Hair Crystal Ocean
In short
Juno Hair Songdo Crystal Ocean is a hair salon on Landmark-ro in Songdo, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. Designer Junbo began with a consultation on head shape and face shape, then did a cut and a men's perm (shadow perm) that left natural volume on top instead of tight, bouncy curls. If you want men's hair that stays easy to manage with just a blow-dry at home, Juno Hair Songdo Crystal Ocean is worth booking for the consultation alone.

It was about time to get my hair sorted out, so this time I visited Juno Hair Songdo Crystal Ocean.
I usually care more about getting an overall look suited to my head shape and face shape than just trimming length, so this time I got a consultation with designer Junbo and went ahead with a men's perm.
Bottom line first: I was happy with how it turned out — not an overly curly style, but natural volume that's still easy to manage.

First impressions of Juno Hair Songdo Crystal Ocean
Juno Hair Songdo Crystal Ocean stood out from the outside — quite a sizeable place. The curved building has a big JUNO HAIR sign, so it wasn't hard to find even on a first visit, and the entrance was clean and tidy.

Stepping inside, the interior leaned heavily on white and blue tones. The big windows kept the space from feeling closed in, and the seats felt comfortably spaced out.

A waiting lounge styled like a cafe
Personally, the part of the salon that caught my eye the most was the waiting area.

A long blue sofa ran alongside the big windows, with products neatly displayed. It felt less like a typical salon waiting area and more like a lounge to relax in.

There were several books on one side too, so I could flip through something while waiting for my treatment.

Drinks and snacks served during the perm
During the treatment, they gave me an iced drink and a light snack.

Perms take longer than a cut, so this kind of touch in the middle was genuinely nice. The salon itself was quiet and clean, which made the wait not feel like a burden at all.
The head-shape consultation with designer Junbo
The part I valued most on this visit was the consultation before the treatment. Rather than just copying whatever reference photo I brought, designer Junbo first looked at my head shape, face shape, and current hair condition, and explained which direction would look natural on me.
My hair tends to look heavy overall and the sides and back lose shape easily once it grows out, so this time we went for a direction that reduces that heavy look while adding natural volume on top. If you're the type who cares about a proper Songdo hair consultation, this kind of process would suit you especially well.

In the before photo, the back and top had grown out quite a bit. Instead of just cutting it all short, they kept the length where needed and reshaped the overall silhouette.
How the men's shadow perm was done
After the cut and basic shaping, the actual perm began.

In the photo it looks like a lot of rods went in, but the finished result leaned toward natural volume rather than strong, obvious curls. I felt like overly strong curls would be a hassle to style every day, and since I mentioned wanting a natural style from the first consultation, they took that into account.
The back view after the perm

The first thing I checked after it was done was the back. Before the treatment, the grown-out hair sat a bit heavy at the back, but afterward the area around my neckline was much cleaner.
The top wasn't pressed flat, but it also wasn't overly puffed up — it felt natural overall. I especially liked that the shape looked clean not just from the front but from the sides and back too.
How much volume shows from the side

From the side, the volume on top and how it connects to the side hair showed even more clearly. The curls weren't too small or too strong, more of a natural flow, so it seemed like it wouldn't be hard to manage with just a simple blow-dry on a normal day.
This was exactly the direction I wanted. Not a style that screams "I got my hair done," but one I could wear comfortably every day and just touch up a little when needed to look neat.
Compared to the before photo, the overall shape of my hair looked far more put-together.
Is Juno Hair Songdo Crystal Ocean worth it for men's hair in Songdo?
Visiting in person, what impressed me most wasn't a simple "just give me this haircut" approach, but the process of looking at my current hair condition together and deciding on a direction that suited me.
For men's hair especially, the silhouette at the sides and back changes the overall impression just as much as the front does, so having the head shape and face shape considered together made the finished look feel more natural. If you're looking into men's hair at a Songdo hair salon, or want a subtle change that doesn't stray too far from your current style, it might be worth starting with a consultation.
This time I visited Juno Hair Songdo Crystal Ocean, and my designer was Junbo.

From the consultation before the treatment through the cut, the perm process, and the final styling, everything went smoothly, and above all I liked that the finished style is easy to manage on my own at home.
