Anseong brunch café: coconut mango bingsu shared by four, Chat Baker

What kind of café is Chat Baker in Gongdo, Anseong?

Chat Baker is a large brunch and bakery café on Seodong-daero in Gongdo-eup, near Anseong Farm Land. It has everything from baked goods to drinks, brunch, and bingsu, all tasting really good, so I come here often. This time, after eating delicious hanwoo (Korean beef) at an Anseong restaurant, I headed straight across the street to Chat Baker for coconut fresh mango bingsu~!

Chat Baker is running an event where if you order a brunch menu and pick one drink per item, you get 30% off! The drink lineup is diverse too — coffee, juice, smoothies, tea, bingsu — and they all taste great.

I was torn between mango bingsu and melon bingsu, but since my first daughter loves mango bingsu so much, I went with the coconut fresh mango bingsu.

Chat Baker also runs a receipt review event — write a review and get your choice of salt bread or a coaster! And if you buy a prepaid card, they give back 5% to as much as 15% in reward points depending on the amount, so I'd recommend it if you're a regular haha

What bread is left on the Chat Baker display at 7pm?

Being an Anseong Gongdo bakery café, there's a huge variety of bread, but since I visited at 7pm a lot was already sold out haha. I went with the sausage pizza bread!

They also sell cookies and castella-type cakes.

Whole cakes, chewy Dubai-style cookies, sliced bread — so many bread varieties that it's fun just to browse.

Inside Chat Baker: seating and the second-floor floor tables

As befits a large brunch café, Chat Baker's space in Anseong Gongdo is really spacious with a clean, stylish interior. There's seating on the 1st floor, but even more seating upstairs.

The 1st floor also has sofa seats.

There's an outdoor terrace on the 1st floor too — on cool days like these, it seems great to enjoy drinks and bakery brunch outside.

We settled in on the 2nd floor haha. Chat Baker also regularly hosts live jazz performances.

The upscale emerald green wall interior is lovely too.

It's also fun to look around at the LP records on display haha. The café plays smooth jazz music, which puts you in a good mood while you're there.

The restrooms are inside the café too, so they're easy to use, and they're clean!

Coconut fresh mango bingsu: taste and portion for four

A little while later, the coconut fresh mango bingsu and sausage bread arrived!! The mango bingsu was piled high with fresh mango, and it was so huge that the visual alone was amazing haha

There's ice cream on top of the mango bingsu too, and since it's fresh mango, it's so juicy — pairing the sweet fruit with the cubed cream cheese is absolutely delicious.

The ice is a milk-based snow-flake bingsu, which makes it taste even better, and there's frozen mango layered on the bottom — so even after finishing off the fresh mango, more mango keeps coming, and you can truly enjoy mango to your heart's content haha

Because it's fresh mango, it was genuinely so delicious that my daughter and I kept exclaiming over it while eating haha. The portion is huge too — we ate it among 4 people and still ended up completely full haha
