Hanam jjukkumi restaurant with a 20-minute weekend wait and parking

In short

Jigueseo On Jjukkumi Hanam Main Branch is a perilla-oil jjukkumi (webfoot octopus) restaurant on Seohanam-ro 390beon-gil in Hanam, Gyeonggi. Arriving at the weekend noon peak without a reservation meant about a 20-minute wait for a table, and the Bangatgan perilla oil jjukkumi costs 13,000 won, with a heat slightly sharper than Shin Ramyun plus nutty perilla oil and a smoky char. Between the wide parking lot out front and the rest area for after the meal, Jigueseo On Jjukkumi suits a family drive-and-lunch trip.

The weather was so nice on the weekend that I went out for a bit of a drive, and then I got a craving for spicy jjukkumi (webfoot octopus), so I stopped by!

It's in a spot that's easy to drive to, and the parking space is huge, so it's great for combining a meal with a drive!

Where is Jigueseo On Jjukkumi Hanam Main Branch, and when is it open?

Location 📍 5 Seohanam-ro 390beon-gil, Hanam-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea

They're open from 11 AM to 9 PM, and closed every Thursday. If you're visiting on a weekend around lunchtime, there might be a wait, so keep that in mind!

Parking 🚗 There's a large parking space in front of the restaurant, so it was easy to park!

It's a nice place to eat with family, and also a good stop while out for a drive. There are lots of cafés nearby too, so it was great to do a meal-then-café course :)

How long is the weekend wait, and can you reserve?

We went during the Saturday peak around noon with no reservation, and waited about 20 minutes before getting seated. It seems phone reservations are also possible, so if you're planning to visit on a weekend or during lunchtime, it might be worth calling ahead to check!

Bangatgan Perilla Oil Jjukkumi, ₩13,000

We ordered the signature Bangatgan Perilla Oil Jjukkumi. They apparently make their own sauce from scratch to get a spiciness that's easy on the stomach rather than overly harsh!

How spicy is the Bangatgan perilla oil jjukkumi?

The jjukkumi had a moderately sharp, spicy kick. For me, someone who likes spicy food, it felt slightly sharper than Shin Ramyun, and it wasn't just spicy for spice's sake — the sauce itself tasted genuinely good!

That said, if you're not great with spicy food, this could feel quite spicy to you.

Jjukkumi taste and texture 🍴

You could really feel the plump, chewy texture of the jjukkumi, and the nutty flavor of the perilla oil plus a smoky char paired well with the spicy sauce.

In particular, the jjukkumi itself wasn't tough at all — the springy texture held up the whole way through, so it was great to eat throughout the meal. The japchae (stir-fried glass noodles) that came with it was tasty too, and eating it alongside the seaweed soup side dish made the whole combination work really well.

Overall it was a neat, well-rounded spread with tidy side dishes all around, so it also worked nicely as a clean Hanam-style hanjeongsik (Korean set meal) experience.

K-dessert sungnyung (scorched rice tea/water), of course — finished off with warm, nutty sungnyung topped with salted pollock roe!

If you're looking for a Hanam jjukkumi spot that not only has the spicy jjukkumi but also serves up good side dishes, this kind of full spread might be right up your alley!

Inside the restaurant: seating, atmosphere and tips ☕

Inside, there are comfortable seats as well as group seating, so it looked great for family gatherings or dining with several people. If you do a review event, you get Hangang ramyeon as a service item, so keep that in mind!

On top of everything, the big parking space out front was a real advantage for anyone visiting by car. It would suit people searching for restaurants near Gamil looking for somewhere reachable by car, or anyone out for a drive around Hanam!

This was a great stop for when you're out for a drive around Hanam and craving something spicy, and it's also a good place to visit with family on the weekend.

And for when you don't feel like leaving right after eating, there's a separate space set up in front of the restaurant where you can relax with ice cream or coffee, which was a nice way to spend some leisurely time after the meal.

If you want to go for a drive on a nice weekend and eat some tasty jjukkumi, Hanam's Bangatgan Perilla Oil Jjukkumi might be worth a visit. If you're looking for a Hanam jjukkumi spot or a restaurant near Gamil, give it a try! I'd especially recommend it to anyone who loves spicy jjukkumi!
