In short
Moss is a moss-themed traditional liquor bar on the second floor of a building in a back alley near Exit 11 of Euljiro 3-ga Station in Jung-gu, Seoul. Why go back to Moss, a traditional liquor bar in Euljiro?

Moss (MOSS) is an atmospheric bar near Euljiro3-ga station where you can enjoy traditional Korean liquor. I visited once before and the vibe and food were so good that it stuck with me, so I went back with a friend I hadn't seen in a while haha.

How to find Moss from Exit 11 of Euljiro 3-ga Station
Walk straight out from Exit 11 of Euljiro3-ga station and turn into the alley next to Euljijanchi, in the Hip-jiro backstreets! Look for the sky-blue circular light sign on the ground — that's the alley haha.

It's on the 2nd floor of the building with the red eave (?) thing. Euljiro is all about restaurants hidden in alleys, right — even the way there has that vibe. Moss feels like my own little hideout somehow. That feeling of wanting to keep it to myself but also wanting to share something good lol.

Moss's moss-themed interior and open-kitchen counter seats
Ah, the atmosphere here is just so good 🥹💚 As a moss-concept traditional liquor bar, it has that traditional Korean feel woven into a modern interior, and the lighting is soft — great for a date, and calm enough for real conversation too haha.

This is the view if you sit at the counter! It's an open kitchen so you can see everything, and it was completely spotless 👍 Total peace of mind on the hygiene front haha.

The Moss menu is now a printed booklet
Last time I visited, I remember scanning a QR code to see the menu on my phone, but now there's a printed booklet menu that's much handier to look through! The side dishes, makgeolli, and traditional liquors — yakju, cheongju, gwahaju — have all changed too.

Ilwolsamju yakju, recommended as the wine-like option
True to being a traditional liquor bar near Euljiro3-ga station, the selection was really diverse. I was thinking about ordering makgeolli, then asked if there was anything like wine, and they recommended several yakju haha.
After some thought, we went with Ilwolsamju yakju! It had a nice balance of subtle sweetness and acidity, plus a fruity, floral aroma. The finish was clean too haha. It had been so long since I'd had a drink like this!! Cheers with a friend I'd missed 💚

Complimentary namul sides and seasonal fish ceviche, 26,000 won
Something special here is that they bring out namul (seasoned vegetable) side dishes as a complimentary starter! There are three kinds, seasoned just right, and they pair so well with traditional liquor haha.
Seasonal fish ceviche, ₩26,000. The seasonal fish right now was yellowtail!! It came plated so beautifully with colorful grapefruit 🧡💛

The yellowtail was thick-cut so the texture was amazing!! Really generous portion. It went so well with the citrus garnish, great combination and really tasty. It paired well with the yakju too, so the drinks just kept going down lol.

Broccolini with smoked doenjang mayo, 15,000 won, ordered again
I loved this last time so I ordered it again: broccolini & smoked doenjang mayo, ₩15,000. The broccolini was cooked more thoroughly than last time, so it was even better!! The doenjang (soybean paste) sauce is the real kicker here. Looking at the photo again makes me want it right now.. 🤤

What makes Moss a good date bar: even the bathroom
Another small reason I like this place is that the bathroom is so, so clean haha. So many bars near Euljiro3-ga station can't say the same.. They even thoughtfully stock cotton swabs and dental floss, which felt perfect for a date.

Is Moss worth a visit in Euljiro?
There are so many bars near Euljiro3-ga station, but if you want someone to say 'oh, how do you know about this place? Nice taste!' — I'd definitely recommend this one lol.
Great-looking interior, spotless, good atmosphere, tasty food — that's Moss (MOSS). If you're looking for a good date spot around Hip-jiro or a place to drink traditional liquor, save it to your map haha.
