When you say Seomyeon Jeonpo, you gotta say café, right? It'd been a while since I went out to Seomyeon, so of course I had to hit a delicious café too 😍

Hippy, the café in Seomyeon's Jeonpo-dong, is open every day, no days off, from 11:00am to 10:00pm 👍🏻

Busan Jeonpo café Hippy has no parking lot and no parking support ❌ but if you go up to the main road above the café, there's a paid parking lot, so keep that in mind.

An entrance like a mountain cabin, a wood-tone interior

Unlike the red brick buildings around downtown, Busan Jeonpo café Hippy felt like stepping into a mountain cabin hideout from the entrance on~

Continuing from the entrance, the inside of Hippy in Seomyeon Jeonpo-dong is furnished with wood-tone pieces, giving it a luxurious yet calm feel.

Going too heavy on wood tone can get overwhelming, but Hippy painted the café walls in a 💛 ivory lemon-core kind of shade, so it had a vibe women would love.

Hippy in Seomyeon Jeonpo-dong also has a 6-person table in the inner space, so it'd be great to visit with a whole group of friends.

And they've placed lush plants all around the café, adding a sense of life and brightness 💚

Can you bring your dog along?

On top of that, Busan Jeonpo café Hippy allows dogs of any breed size, indoors and outdoors, as long as you bring a carrier or stroller — so you can enjoy the café with your adorable pup. I should bring Janggun next time~ With that in mind, let's get into picking Hippy's coffee and desserts.

Dessert specialty: cream pie & bread pudding

Hippy in Seomyeon Jeonpo-dong is a dessert spot specializing in cream pie and bread pudding, so you absolutely have to get something sweet!!

The desserts at Busan Jeonpo café Hippy are handmade and freshly baked every morning, made and sold same-day, so you can always get something fresh 👍🏻 The cream pies especially are heart-stopping to look at — I wanted to try one of each, they were made so beautifully. As a sweets lover, I (Bongja) was so excited 💗

Besides the cream pies, there are also various pound cakes and meringue cookies, so they're great to enjoy lightly with coffee too 😍

House-roasted coffee

Hippy in Seomyeon Jeonpo-dong is a must for the handmade cream pies, but you have to try the coffee too!!

Hippy uses a blended specialty coffee made from beans roasted in-house, so if you're a coffee lover, you'll be very satisfied with the ☕️ flavor.

Hippy's matcha latte in Jeonpo-dong, perfectly paired with the lush green leaves 💚

Even with milk in it, the matcha latte has that pleasant, slightly bitter matcha taste that cleans up a heavy palate, so it's one of my favorite drinks.

Busan Jeonpo café Hippy's matcha latte comes topped with cream, but instead of creamy whipped cream, it's a soft 🤍 milk-foam-like cream, so it's tasty on its own and doesn't feel greasy at all when mixed in — very satisfying.

Ohhhhh!!! So this is the taste of Hippy's own house-roasted beans~~~!!!

The dolce latte was sweet, but you could still fully taste the deep yet clean coffee flavor and aroma. My mom tried it too and said this café's coffee was delicious, super satisfied 😚

The Mont Blanc chestnut cream pie I picked with my mom

If it had just been my own solo café time, I would've gone for the super-sweet tiramisu or banana brûlée, but since it was tea time with mom, I picked the 🌰 chestnut one that she likes.

This is straight-up art, art!!!!! The cream piled up as high as the pie itself, and it was so precious I wasn't sure how to even eat it 🤩

So this is why everyone says cream pie~! Cream pie~!! It's not just pretty to look at — the cream is not just generous but practically overflowing, no secret there 👏🏻👏🏻 True to its name, it's loaded with cream, and I worried it might be too rich, but it was so good I wanted to eat the cream on its own — honestly, if they sold the cream separately, I'd buy it 😜

It had been a while since I hung out in Jeonpo, and I found a café that makes me want to come back — next time I'll bring our Guni-guni along for a cozy visit 🐶✌🏻
