Dongtan Lake Park naengmyeon set dinner for two: Naengmyeon Gajun
In short
Naengmyeon Gajun Dongtan Main Branch is a cold noodle and grilled meat restaurant on the second floor of the Luna Gallery building, right across from Dongtan Lake Park in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi. On a Luna Show evening, the order was a mul naengmyeon (cold noodle soup) plus soy-glazed pork belly set, a bibim naengmyeon, and a half plate of octopus mandu (dumplings), all placed by table order and delivered to the table by a robot. One set was enough for two people to share meat and noodles, making Naengmyeon Gajun an easy family dinner after a walk around Dongtan Lake Park.

Looking for a naengmyeon (cold noodle soup) spot near Dongtan Lake Park? Here's my review of a value-for-money noodle set at Naengmyeon Gajun.

It's finally autumn, the perfect season for a picnic or walk around Dongtan Lake Park~ I went for a stroll there after a while and decided to grab dinner too. Among the restaurants with a view of Dongtan Lake Park, I picked Naengmyeon Gajun for its good-value noodle sets — a great place to eat comfortably when you're out at the lake. Here's my review of the naengmyeon and pork belly set.
Where is Naengmyeon Gajun Dongtan Main Branch, and where do you park?
Naengmyeon Gajun Dongtan Main Branch is on the 2nd floor of a building right in front of Dongtan Lake Park, at 32 Dongtan-daero 5-gil, Dongtan-gu, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, Unit 208. Hours are Tue–Fri 10:00–21:00 (with a break from 15:00–17:00) and Sat–Sun 10:00–21:00, closed every Monday. They offer group seating, takeout, delivery, reservations, separate men's/women's restrooms, and easy payment.

It's Luna Show season again, so Dongtan Lake Park was packed with people. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor of the building right in front of the best Luna Show viewing spot. I pushed through the crowds to get up there haha. Naengmyeon Gajun is in the building in the middle of the photo above.

You can park for free in the basement lot of the Luna Gallery building. There were a lot of cars parked since it was Luna Show day.

Window seats with a Dongtan Lake Park view inside Naengmyeon Gajun
Since it was Luna Show day, the window seats were all full~ You can see the lake park's fountain through the windows~ Most people seemed to be there for a family dinner~ Both 4-person and 8-person families can dine here as a group.

I heard Naengmyeon Gajun's mul naengmyeon has a secret spicy sauce that adds extra flavor! I ordered it with high expectations.

What comes in a Naengmyeon Gajun set, and how table ordering works
Orders go through the table order system with prepayment. There's a wide variety of noodle-plus-meat set menus. Choose your favorite: mul naengmyeon or bibim naengmyeon, paired with braised short ribs, gochujang pork belly, or soy-glazed pork belly.

Besides naengmyeon, there are various other dishes like galbitang (short rib soup), yukgaejang (spicy beef soup), yukgaejang kalguksu (noodle soup), and mandu guk (dumpling soup). We ordered the mul naengmyeon + soy-glazed pork belly set, bibim naengmyeon, and a half plate of octopus mandu.

You can refill basic side dishes at the self-serve bar~ We grabbed some sides that go well with naengmyeon.

How the mul naengmyeon and bibim naengmyeon tasted
The mul naengmyeon and bibim naengmyeon came out first! A robot brings it right up to the table.

The bibim naengmyeon comes with extra broth on the side. When ordering, you can choose regular or spicy bibim naengmyeon. This was the regular version, and it wasn't very spicy — pretty good. You can drink the broth separately or pour it over the noodles depending on your taste.

The mul naengmyeon has seasoning on top of a refreshing, semi-frozen broth. I'm always team mul naengmyeon haha.

Soy-glazed pork belly set: enough for two to share
Then the soy-glazed pork belly set arrived right after~

The pork belly is tender, perfect for wrapping with noodles. It's not too salty and leans a bit sweet. Kids would probably enjoy this too.

How do you all eat your naengmyeon? We always cut it into a cross shape first haha. The seasoning has such a nice color.

Cool, chewy kudzu noodles~ The seasoning wasn't too spicy, pretty good. Seems to be the same sauce as before.

You don't need to go to a BBQ place to get pork belly and naengmyeon together~ Ordering just one set is enough for two people to share the meat too.

Half plate of octopus mandu as a side dish
We also added a half plate of octopus mandu (dumplings) as a side. The dumpling wrapper is translucent. It has a nice chewy bite and went well with the naengmyeon too. You could probably even order a full plate of just the mandu instead of meat.
After eating our fill, walking a full loop around Dongtan Lake Park while watching the Luna Show felt really nice haha. I even took a clip video of it.
If you're looking for a good-value family restaurant to visit when you're out at Dongtan Lake Park, or a spot for cool naengmyeon with meat, give Naengmyeon Gajun Dongtan Main Branch a try~
