Plate Dunsan Branch in Dunsan-dong, Daejeon! Even at 3pm on a weekend it was packed — a real hidden gem. I had the pasta and steak set, and it was so good and such good value that I'm already planning to go back next month haha.

Where do you park at Plate Dunsan?

Plate Dunsan Branch offers up to 2 hours of free parking in the building's basement lot. It's also about a 1-minute walk from Galleria Department Store, so it's easy to get to.

Parking is tough in Dunsan-dong, but Plate Dunsan Branch is a convenient restaurant thanks to this basement lot!

Inside Plate Dunsan: atmosphere and seating

Get off the elevator on the 2nd floor and the entrance is right there — the layout has both window seats and tables further in. Even at 3pm on a weekend, almost every table was full.

The interior vibe is amazing — no wonder it's a date spot haha! I heard it's famous for blind dates too!

I went at 3pm and the tables were nearly all full, so I could only snap this photo on my way out haha.

There are window seats too

There are quite a few tables inside too, so it's great for dates and also for groups of friends!

The Plate Dunsan menu and its 12 pasta noodles

Plate Dunsan Branch is a real pasta restaurant where you can choose your noodle type to your taste! There are a whopping 12 kinds of noodles.

There are plenty of good pasta restaurants, but how many let you pick your own noodle type?! And 12 kinds, no less!

If you're not sure which noodle to pick, you can check the recommended noodle for each pasta dish,

and the ordering instructions were written out clearly too, so ordering was easy!

Besides pasta, there's pizza, steak, side dishes, and great-value set menus too!

There's an event going on too! I took part in the Naver receipt review and got a matcha tart! Haha.

The 37,900 won steak set: bacon cacio e pepe and flat iron steak

The steak set at Plate Dunsan Branch comes with soup, salad, bread, pasta, and flat iron steak, all for ₩37,900. For the pasta I chose bacon cacio e pepe with fresh noodle #6.

Order the steak set and first up comes warm, savory soup, fresh salad, and soft warm bread!

Next came the pasta I ordered — bacon cacio e pepe! I picked fresh noodle #6 as recommended,

and being fresh noodles, the texture was definitely springier and chewier. Now regular dried pasta noodles feel a bit flat haha.

On top of that, the sharp bite of black pepper plus the creamy cheese and savory bacon — this is a flavor most people would like without much divide in taste!

And then the flat iron steak! It came out grilled perfectly to medium,

and juicy enough to be really tender!

It tasted even better paired with the napa cabbage served alongside! Soup, salad, bread, pasta, and steak all together for ₩37,900 — the value is really amazing?! No wonder it's recommended as a date restaurant haha!
