Bundang text neck care: 60-min 1:1 radio frequency, Speed Conditioning

In short

Speed Conditioning Exercise Center is a pain-care exercise studio in Bundang, Seongnam, two minutes from Exit 2 of Seohyeon Station. On Chuseok morning the writer took a 60-minute 1:1 session with director Lee Hwa-jin, who used radio frequency to release the deep muscles of the back, neck and shoulders and then taught how to actually engage the back muscles. For anyone who has lived for years with text neck, rounded shoulders and a hunched back, Speed Conditioning Exercise Center is worth a visit for reading your body first.

Starting this Chuseok morning, I decided to take care of my body and get a bit healthier, so I headed out early to Speed Conditioning Exercise Center, a pain-care studio near Seohyeon Station in Bundang, Seongnam. My neck and shoulders have been a mess for years — comes with the job, honestly — and today I finally set aside time to properly get them sorted out. Here's my first-visit review!

Why I booked: text neck, rounded shoulders, a hunched back

I made a reservation in advance to visit Speed Conditioning Exercise Center, and today's coaching was with director Lee Hwa-jin. She's also a licensed physical therapist, and apparently the place attracts a lot of track and field athletes and students prepping for physical education college entrance exams.

I regularly deal with text neck, rounded and hunched shoulders, and a curved upper back, with muscle tightness in all those spots, so I trusted this place to help with exactly those problem areas.

What happens in the 60-minute 1:1 session

The interior of Speed Conditioning Exercise Center near Seohyeon Station is spacious and clean. I currently do Pilates, but this was my first time visiting a place this specialized.

The session runs 1:1, with 60 minutes of care fully tailored to the individual. I honestly lost track of time — I was that into it. Apparently 'conditioning' means managing nutrition, rest, relaxation, sleep and exercise schedules to build fitness and improve technique for a specific sport or activity.

Releasing the deep muscles with radio frequency

At Speed Conditioning Exercise Center, the first step was using radio-frequency to release tense, knotted muscles — not just on the surface but deep down. She started with my back, then moved to my neck and shoulders, and followed it up with PT tailored to what she found.

With just the right amount of pressure, my fatigue completely melted away — my body had felt so heavy, and afterward it felt light and refreshed. I could feel the knots and tightness myself, which made me realize just how bad my body had gotten.

Why my left and right sides differ and my traps stay tight

I'm right-handed and mostly use that side, so my left side was clearly weaker and out of balance. My left side needed more development, and my back muscles weren't strong enough to hold things in place, so my back needed work too.

When I raise my arms, apparently I subconsciously tense my neck, which makes my trapezius muscles even tighter and stiffer. So there was a real reason I hurt every day and my traps felt like solid rock...🫠

She told me I have a naturally long neck, and that after today's care at Speed Conditioning Exercise Center near Seohyeon Station, it would look even longer. The instructor was bright and friendly, made small talk, and explained each muscle one by one — it was really a chance to learn what state my body was actually in.

How I felt after the session

After releasing the muscles, I learned how to use my back muscles instead of tensing my neck and arms to compensate for how much weaker and imbalanced my left side is compared to my right. This place is thorough, professional and systematic, and after experiencing it firsthand, I get why so many athletes come here. I'd recommend Speed Conditioning Exercise Center, the pain-care studio near Seohyeon Station in Bundang.
