The heat has finally eased up these days. The weather's turned cooler, but it's so dry that both my skin and hair are just frizzy and parched ㅠㅠㅠ And after a recent business trip abroad, my hair basically turned into a mess.

I got a light layered cut, but it didn't quite feel fixed by the cut alone, so I figured it was time for a proper clinic treatment after a while!! I visited Aiva Hair Sanbon-jeom 😊 They also gave me a little trim, and honestly the whole result was super satisfying 🤍

A layered cut for damaged hair that kept the length

When you grow your hair out, sometimes the slight wave and dry, damaged ends make the whole thing look messy overall — but this time, cutting off the damaged parts made my hair look so much neater ✨

They didn't cut too much length off, just trimmed the heavy bottom part to balance everything out, so I could keep exactly the look I wanted. Aiva Hair is a layered-cut spot, for real.

What the Shiseido full-care clinic involves

I got the Shiseido full-care clinic from Team Leader Sihu 🙏 They started by prepping with Shiseido shampoo to remove buildup and excess oil before the clinic began.

Aiva Hair Sanbon-jeom is clean and spacious! Treatments often run long and can feel boring or stuffy, but I never felt that way here.

After shampooing, they carefully sprayed a protein solution all over my hair to remove impurities from inside the strands. Since I dye my hair a lot and it's damaged, this step was exactly what I needed haha

After applying the treatment, they wrapped my hair and used heat for 10 minutes so the protein could really penetrate deep into the hair 🥹

For the final step, they mixed in an ampoule to balance moisture and oil and combed it through my hair. They explained each step carefully, so I actually understood what effect it was having as I went through the treatment.

They also set out some light snacks, so I got to soothe my tired self with a little caffeine.

Inside the private natural detox head spa room

For the last step, after the heat treatment, they applied a moisture essence in the natural detox head spa room and let it absorb for about 10 minutes. Aiva Hair Sanbon-jeom is Sanbon's top hair salon for head spa treatments, running a private natural detox spa room.

How the hair felt after about an hour

The whole clinic wrapped up after about an hour. My hair definitely felt softer compared to before the treatment 🥰 The frizzy, parched hair calmed right down, and it felt smoother to the touch too — I was really happy with it.

Even after washing and drying my hair afterward, it stayed more manageable than before, so I could really tell the difference compared to just doing home care alone. Apparently if you keep it up with treatments at home for about a week, the effect lasts even longer -

I'd been kind of upset because I wasn't happy with a recent haircut, but at Aiva Hair Sanbon-jeom, they perfectly caught what I meant based on my current hair condition and gave it exactly the texture I wanted — so satisfying 🩶
