Gunpo eyelash salon Salon Dohe: black clinic lash perm, JC curl

Eye makeup has been such a hassle lately, and even when I do put it on, my lashes feel like they droop almost right away — so I decided it was time for a lash perm. While looking for a good lash place near Sanbon Station, I came across Salon Dohe, which had tons of good reviews haha. Here's how my lash perm turned out, done just the way I like it~!

Where is Salon Dohe Sanbon Branch, and what are its hours?

Salon Dohe Sanbon Branch is open weekdays 11:00–21:00 and weekends 11:00–20:00.

Salon Dohe is located in Sanbon's central shopping district! It's super accessible, just a short walk from Sanbon Station. You just need to find the Seoryeon Building, 7th floor, Room 703 — there's a projecting sign out front so it was easy to spot.

The inside of Salon Dohe was cozy and clean. Little decorative items scattered around caught my eye, and the space itself felt so tidy that I figured I could relax comfortably during the treatment :)

What is the black clinic lash perm with a JC curl?

The consultation at Salon Dohe Sanbon Branch happened at a table set up near the entrance. I'd booked a black clinic perm! A black clinic perm is a clinic perm combined with black tinting — a premium perm that minimizes lash damage while giving you a look as sharp and defined as if you'd applied mascara. It seemed like the perfect fit for someone like me who can't be bothered with eye makeup, haha.

I told them I didn't want anything too dramatic — just a natural but defined look. After the consultation, we settled on the black clinic perm with a JC curl!

The treatment room was clean too! There were two beds set up, so it'd be great to come with a friend and get treated together~ Also, the beds had leg rests, so I was comfortable the whole time, haha.

Bare lashes before the perm at Salon Dohe

Since I was getting a lash perm, I went in completely bare-faced ^-^ lol. Before the perm, my eyes looked kind of flat, right? (kind of embarrassing) 🙄 As you can see, I don't have particularly sparse lashes, but without mascara they somehow don't show up much, and even with mascara they'd droop right away — which honestly stressed me out. It got to the point where I wondered if wearing mascara was even worth it, and eye makeup just felt more and more like a chore. So how did things turn out after getting a lash perm at Salon Dohe to solve this stress and dilemma~?!

Ta-da ✨ Can you tell the difference between before and after?! My once-flat eyes and expression feel a lot more defined now, haha. This is exactly why people get lash perms,, I'm so satisfied that it came out natural yet sharp, exactly matching what I wanted! I'm officially calling Salon Dohe a top lash spot in Sanbon 🤍

Eye twitching during the lash perm: how it was handled

Does anyone else get eye twitching during lash treatments? Random detail, but that's me,,😂 I'm not sure if it's nerves or just being too aware of my eye area, but because of this twitching I actually hold back from getting these treatments even when I want to, worrying it'll fluster the person doing my lashes ㅠ

Sure enough, it happened again early on during this session, but the director told me it was probably because it had been a while since my last lash perm, making me more self-conscious, and that it was okay to relax my eyes. Once she said that, I think I was able to relax and finish the treatment comfortably.

No eye makeup for a while~👋 lol. Thanks to this lash perm, I think I can go around with defined eyes without mascara for a good while, haha.

Aftercare and how the JC curl held up on day 3

After the treatment, they gave me a card with aftercare instructions, a brush, and even a snack, haha.

• Don't wash your face until 5 hours after the treatment
• After washing, brush your lashes into shape while they're still damp, before they dry

I followed the instructions exactly — waited 5 hours after the treatment before washing my face, and brushed my lashes into shape while still damp afterward. As I'm writing this post, it's day 3 since the treatment, and the curl is still holding up beautifully, haha. Next time I need a lash perm, I'd love to come back to Salon Dohe Sanbon Branch.
