A hip, ear-catching name for a bar! This is 'Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch,' inspired by the legendary 'Wareureu Mansion' — the apartment building the Shin-chan family temporarily moved into in the animated series Crayon Shin-chan after their house was blown away — located in the Bangi-dong food alley.

Where to park at Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch, and what the building looks like
Tucked into the Bangi-dong food alley near Jamsil's Seokchon Lake, Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch stood out from the surrounding concrete buildings with the cozy warmth of a mountain lodge or a charming neighbor's house.

There's a parking lot entrance in the alley behind the building, and the first hour is free if you're dining at the restaurant. After that, you have to pay — an extra ₩3,000 per 60 minutes, capped at ₩5,000.

Inside Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch: Shin-chan decor and a big screen
Thanks to the wood-toned interior and lighting that felt straight out of a Shin-chan scene, it was the kind of hideaway spot you'd want to stop by after a tiring day for good drinks, good food, and a chat.

The retro vibe wasn't too dated, and there were large screens installed — one playing the Shin-chan cartoon, and another showing a baseball broadcast.

What we ordered and how the ₩100 draft beer deal works
- Spicy beef shank and beef tendon hot pot
- Kimchi pizza sweet and sour pork
- Two draft beers at ₩100 each with before-7pm entry

The basic side dish is mayonnaise macaroni, and if you come in before 7pm, they run an event where draft beer is just ₩100 per person. If you're looking for a bar near Seokchon Lake or in Bangi-dong and planning some daytime drinking, Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch is a total steal, right?!
Spicy beef shank and tendon hot pot at Wareureu Mansion
The visual alone — bubbling away on the burner — was overwhelming. Thin, tender slices of boiled beef shank were arranged like flower petals around the rim of the wide hot pot, while collagen-rich, chewy beef tendon, fresh mushrooms, bok choy, and chives were piled high like a mountain in the center.
One spoonful of the broth and you can't help but let out an 'ahh~' — spicy and deep in flavor! The beef shank was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. The tendon got chewier and jelly-like the more I chewed, with a savory fattiness that never felt greasy.

It was hearty enough to work as a meal on its own, but also great as a drinking snack — refreshing enough to help with a hangover while pairing perfectly with more drinks.
Kimchi pizza sweet and sour pork at Wareureu Mansion
Instead of using frozen or premade products, they fry the sweet and sour pork fresh in-house, top it with tangy-sweet stir-fried kimchi, and cover it all with cheese that melts down like a blanket of snow.
Take a bite of the stretchy cheese together with the pork, and the crispy outside, chewy inside texture pairs perfectly with the savory cheese. The well-cooked stir-fried kimchi cuts through any greasiness completely.

The crunchy, spicy-tangy kimchi mixed with the sweetness of the pork sauce, chased down with a gulp of cold draft beer — honestly, that's heaven right there.
