The day I came up to Seoul for Jeeni's wedding! I had plans in the afternoon so I decided to grab a meal beforehand on my own.
While looking for good restaurants near Omokgyo Station close to the wedding hall, I found a rare gem — a Chinese restaurant that runs 24 hours!

The interior is very clean and the seats are comfortable. You can eat well without your butt hurting! There were partitions too, which was great haha.
Danmuji (pickled radish) and jjachai (pickled mustard greens) come as standard, and all kinds of seasonings are stocked on the table too!

From the menu we ordered spicy chili jjampong 12,000 won, beef jjampong 13,000 won, and mini tangsuyuk 13,000 won. Everything else probably tastes great too, but if you go to this place, you have to order one of the jjampong (spicy seafood noodle soup) dishes!! Seriously so good, ㅠ.

We ordered chili jjampong, beef jjampong, and tangsuyuk, so the table was packed full — but the prices were more reasonable than I expected, so it didn't feel like a splurge at all at this Yugwanjang near Omokgyo.
Spicy chili jjampong, 12,000 won: how it works as hangover food
This is the chili jjampong I ordered — a thick, rich broth topped with a generous amount of chili powder and chili peppers. This is truly the dish to order if you need to cure a hangover.

This crispy tangsuyuk is only 13,000 won but comes in a pretty generous portion — genuinely great value.
Slurp... I'd had drinks the night before, and the visual was screaming hangover cure, so my expectations were high.
After pushing aside the fierce-looking chili powder and peppers on top and loosening up the noodles, the noodles turned out properly chewy and springy.
I tasted the broth first — full of seafood, refreshing yet deeply rich? Like beef bone broth meeting spicy chili oil. But somehow it's not greasy at all, and my stomach didn't feel queasy either — really, really on point.
Beef jjampong, 13,000 won: chadol brisket and daytime drinks
It became bar food hahahaha. In the end, we cracked open the hangover-cure booze.
Well, we came all the way to Seoul after a while — how could we not drink?
My husband's beef jjampong really is loaded with chadol (thin-sliced beef brisket) like that, so the 13,000 won price doesn't feel wasted at all. If you're a meat person, I recommend going with the beef jjampong!
Mini tangsuyuk, 13,000 won: crispy glutinous batter, juicy pork
Wow, this glutinous rice tangsuyuk is truly crispy outside and chewy inside. Sometimes places use too much glutinous rice and it loses crispiness, but here it's just right.
At Yugwanjang, a great Chinese restaurant near Omokgyo Station, the jjampong is delicious but the tangsuyuk is also amazing ㅠ. Since it's open 24 hours, it's great for curing a hangover or for a late-night drinking spot too.
Who knew there was such a hidden gem of a Chinese restaurant near Omokgyo Station... If I'm ever around Omokgyo again, I want to come back. Both my husband and I agreed this place is the real deal, patted our full bellies, and walked around for an hour afterward hahaha.
