I went out for a stroll in Seongsu and had pizza first, then looked right next door — wait, there's a café here?? I walked straight in.

Here's my review of 'T Coffee,' a Seongsu café perfect for escaping the busy streets and having a quiet cup of coffee.

Finding T Coffee in Seongsu — the pizza place entrance is faster

T Coffee is on B1 at 159 Achasan-ro, Seongdong-gu, and there are two entrances, but the pizza restaurant's entrance seems faster. Go down to B1 through the pizza place's entrance and just walk a little further in!

I ended up visiting both the pizza place and the café without meaning to..

An underground vibe that doesn't feel underground at all

Even though T Coffee is on B1, it didn't feel like a basement at all. You know how basement cafés usually come with a bit of stuffy air or a musty smell?

Here, the windows are wide and the interior is so well designed and fresh that it almost felt like being at an outdoor café — not a hint of mustiness. They must maintain it really well!

What especially surprised me was how open the counter and the coffee-making area were, right in the center of the café!

Watching the coffee being made was fun in itself, and the whole space stayed so clean and tidy that I felt good the entire time I was there.

It also seemed like a perfect spot to quietly open a laptop or read a book, so if you're looking for a good café for working or reading, this place fits the bill.

Little Fit vs T Coffee blend — the bean flavor difference

At T Coffee you can choose your beans for the iced americano. We picked one with 'Little Fit' beans, known for a charming acidity, and one with the 'T Coffee blend,' known for its heavier body.

The flavor difference between the two beans was clear, so it was fun choosing based on personal taste.

It was a flavor that would satisfy both people who love acidic coffee and people who prefer a nutty, heavier cup.

Pairing it with a carrot cake that wasn't too sweet made for the perfect dessert!

Good for staying alone, good for meetings too

💻 Great for staying quietly alone, and perfect for meetings too! I came here as a second stop with a friend, but the whole café atmosphere is so calm and cozy that it seemed like a great place to come by yourself too. I actually noticed quite a few people who'd come to spend some quiet time alone.

Unlike loud, chaotic large cafés, this is a good café for solo visits where you can focus on the coffee flavor in a calm atmosphere, and

I also thought it's a space where you could have a light chat or an important conversation.

It seemed perfect for a weekend spent focusing on something or relaxing, or even as a study hideout!

Of course, I was in a great mood having found the perfect second-stop course right next to the pizza place haha
