Giheung kalguksu restaurant for peach bibim noodles: Jangwongap
In short
Jangwongap Kalguksu Yongin Giheung Branch is a shabu kalguksu (hot-pot knife-cut noodle) restaurant on Gomae-ro in Giheung-gu, Yongin, Gyeonggi. After a walk around Giheung Lake, the writer went in right at weekday opening time with no wait and ordered the limited-edition Jochiwon peach bibim noodles, a seafood pancake and two servings of shabu kalguksu, then packed the leftover pancake at the takeout counter. Arriving at opening is the surest way to skip the line, and the free bowl of rice and gim for babies makes Jangwongap an easy choice with kids.

Jangwongap Kalguksu Yongin Giheung Branch is a shabu kalguksu spot at 90 Gomae-ro, Giheung-gu, Yongin, Gyeonggi. Lalala~ this is exactly the kind of trip I wanted, honestly. We spent the morning strolling around Giheung Lake with the family, burned off all our energy, and got to the point of "we need to eat RIGHT NOW" — so we headed to Jangwongap Kalguksu Yongin Giheung Branch.
Weekday opening at Jangwongap: how to get in with no wait
We happened to arrive right at opening time and went in with the opening rush — and that turned out to be a genius move. There were quite a few people standing in the parking lot and I was like "what's going on?", then the moment it opened, everyone poured into the restaurant.
If you want to get in without waiting, timing your visit to opening hour seems like a solid move! And if you're planning to go, I'd also recommend deciding on your menu ahead of time!
What's on the menu at Jangwongap Kalguksu Yongin Giheung Branch

Since everyone rushed in at once right at opening, we had to order fast too, haha.

We managed to grab a good corner spot because of the kids, and the place filled up incredibly fast after that~
Wow!!! Officially confirmed as a must-eat spot near Lotte Outlet Yongin Giheung.

Jochiwon peach bibim noodles: the limited-edition dish to order

The dish we enjoyed the most was the limited-edition Jochiwon peach bibim noodles.

I generally love a sweet-and-tangy bibim noodle, so this hit exactly right. Not too sharp or overwhelming — sweet, tangy, and savory in a way that really woke up the appetite!

It was especially great paired with the mandu (dumplings). One bite of mandu, one bite of bibim noodles, and it cut through any heaviness — I couldn't stop reaching for more. Since it's a limited item, it's worth checking whether it's still available when you visit!

Why the seafood pancake at Jangwongap is worth adding
We'd already heard great things about the seafood pancake, and it really didn't disappoint!!! Loaded with seafood, with a slight spicy kick that made it genuinely delicious. Babies can't eat it though ^-^ haha.
The problem was we ordered way too much and were already about to burst lol.
Luckily there's a separate pancake packing counter, so we took the leftovers to go.

We reheated it back at our accommodation and it was still delicious. Eating it as a late-night snack during the trip gave it a whole different vibe.
Shabu kalguksu for two: how our family order arrived

For the main dish, we ordered the basic shabu kalguksu for two.

It's structured so you eat the shabu-shabu first, then move on to the kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) — which made it great for eating as a family.
What really stood out was the kalguksu noodles. True to the description of noodles kneaded a thousand times, they were genuinely chewy with great texture! I was like, oh, so this is it...
But personally, even more than the noodles, I loved the broth. A truly deep, real flavor I hadn't tasted anywhere else~
It had that rich, deep taste that kept me reaching for another spoonful — even more delicious since we were hungry after our walk.

Visiting Jangwongap with a young child
Eating with a kid, these little things really stand out. When we asked for baby rice, they brought a bowl of rice and gim. But then I saw the small message written on the gim wrapper and got a little emotional, ugh.
This place is the real deal, isn't it~ hahaha. When you're out at restaurants with a little one, moments like this — a small gesture of care — can feel huge. The food was delicious, sure, but feeling like they genuinely considered families with kids made it stick in my memory even more.

Pairing Jangwongap with a walk around Giheung Lake
We did the Giheung Lake walk, then Jangwongap Kalguksu — and personally, it was such a satisfying combo. After walking a lot and getting hungry, warm shabu kalguksu and bibim noodles tasted absolutely amazing!

The free ggakdugi fried rice they serve at the end is also highly recommended, ugh — now I get why everyone says you must try it!

If you're visiting Lotte Outlet and looking for somewhere to eat, this is worth keeping in mind as a must-eat spot near Lotte Outlet Yongin Giheung. Honestly, I kept thinking about it after we finished eating.

From the sweet-and-tangy Jochiwon peach bibim noodles to the chewy kalguksu and the seafood-packed pancake, every dish at Jangwongap Kalguksu Yongin Giheung Branch left an impression!!! "Let's come back here again" came out naturally, so if I'm ever in the Yongin Giheung area, I plan to revisit.

We skipped the rice puffs for dessert lol, we were way too full,,, but the misugaru comes highly recommended — genuinely delicious and rich!

That chewy, chewy Jangwongap Kalguksu noodle,,, I still can't forget it, ugh. They say it's kneaded a thousand times.
