Gongdeok bakery, 7 pastries to share at the office: Fluffy Bake Shop

I visited a dessert spot near Gongdeok Station that was even featured on tvN's Nolto..! Here's my honest review of the financiers, madeleines, egg tarts, and salt bread 🥐

Where is Fluffy Bake Shop, and what are its hours and parking?

Fluffy Bake Shop was easy to find, about a 3-minute walk from Gongdeok Station Line 5 Exit 2.

• Location: 8 Baekbeom-ro 31-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul, 2-dong Shopping Center 1F #106
• Hours: Weekdays 08:00–18:30 / Weekends 11:00–16:30
• Parking: 1 hour free / available at Gongdeok SK Leaders View Complex 2 parking lot

The entrance is on the 1st floor of the SK Leaders View, and the white madeleine-shaped sign made it easy to spot haha.

Inside there were seats for eating in, along with a bunch of pastries on display :)

How many financier, madeleine and egg tart flavors does Fluffy Bake Shop have?

True to its reputation as a Gongdeok bakery favorite, the variety was really impressive 🧁

Starting with the financiers — BEST vanilla first

There was the gamtae (seaweed) financier featured on Nolto, plus chocolate, fig walnut caramel, Nunettine, apple churro, mixed berry, melon, yellow cheese, carrot, chestnut, and raspberry.

The madeleines were just as varied — BEST lemon and Earl Grey, plus NEW vanilla, hallabong (Korean citrus), Nutella, chocolate, plain, black sesame, and yuzu!

There were also plain and Dubai-style egg tarts, and salt bread,

and vanilla, chocolate, and Earl Grey canelés too.

I visited during lunchtime and customers kept coming in. I started grabbing things after hearing the vanilla madeleine was delicious... and before I knew it, my hands were full 😂

I opened everything up in our office pantry, and I liked that each item was individually wrapped so nothing got mixed up.

1) The best madeleine yet: Fluffy Bake Shop's vanilla madeleine 🤍

Wow... I bought this on someone's recommendation who'd actually tried it, and it was genuinely delicious. The outside is sweet like a Krispy Kreme donut, and I expected an ordinary cream inside, but it was soft and sweet, more like custard! There was no fishy vanilla smell at all, just a rich, luxurious vanilla cream that totally won me over,,! I'm definitely going back to buy this one with my own money. Next time I'll grab at least 5...!

2) The chocolate madeleine that sold out on the way out 🍫

With the chocolate topping on top, I expected a super chocolatey flavor. But for my taste it was a bit dry lol. Would go great with milk! Still, I liked that they had the sense to add chocolate cream inside too.

3) Crisp outside, soft inside: the egg tart 🥚

I bought two and shared them with a coworker — the outside was genuinely crunchy. It was so crispy that the sound of biting into it apparently felt really loud in our quiet office lol. Crispy outside, soft inside — an egg tart that anyone from kids to adults could enjoy :)

Overall verdict on Fluffy Bake Shop

The staff were friendly, and above all, the vanilla madeleine was, in my opinion, better than department store dessert quality, so I'll definitely be back. I highly recommend trying the vanilla madeleine at least once haha. The salt bread is even better if you warm it up slightly in an air fryer or microwave :)
