Hongdae café for peach soufflé with mom and Greek yogurt: Think Fruit

In short

Think Fruit is a Hongdae dessert café about a 10-minute walk from Hongik University Station in Mapo, Seoul. Visiting again with her mom, the writer ordered the ₩22,000 peach soufflé plus an Americano and decaf Americano, waiting 20 minutes for a soufflé loaded with whipped cream and a whole peach filled with Greek yogurt. Even her mom, trying soufflé for the first time, called it "not too sweet, so good" — a solid reason to go back.

Think Fruit's signature peach soufflé

I live for café hopping in hot weather. But as a certified bread-and-dessert girl, I only walk out satisfied if the dessert actually tastes good — and this time, one bite of the peach soufflé at Think Fruit (띵크프룻), a Hongdae dessert café, and I was completely won over. With that much fresh fruit piled on, how could it not be good? Let me tell you about Think Fruit, a place that clearly doesn't skimp on ingredients.

Entrance to Think Fruit, a Hongdae dessert café revisited by the writer

I'd visited before and remembered it being delicious, so I went back! When I arrived there were only a few tables occupied, but by the time I was leaving — right around meal-then-dessert hour, I guess — the place had filled right up.

Blue Ribbon award and Häagen-Dazs signage

Think Fruit is a Blue Ribbon-awarded Hongdae dessert spot, and apparently also carries Häagen-Dazs. I always keep Häagen-Dazs stocked at home, so my eyes lit up the second I saw that haha.

Interior

Think Fruit's open interior with full glass windows

The interior is completely open — full glass windows give it a great sense of openness. Clean and trendy, it really stood out.

White round tables and clear folding chair seating

White round tables paired with stylish clear folding chairs and clean white chairs come together beautifully, giving the whole space an extra-fresh feel. Whether you want to sit by the window and take in the view at your own pace, or enjoy dessert in a bright, cheerful café for a cute photo, Think Fruit delivers.

Space where fruit is ripened in-house at the café

The Hongdae branch of Think Fruit ripens its own fruit in-house, so nothing goes to waste on lazy ingredients — which makes it even more appealing. That probably explains why the peaches were ripened to exactly the right point and tasted so good..👏

Menu and discount perks

Menu board listing peach and fig soufflé

The menu changes with the season's fruit, so right now in summer it's peach and fig soufflé. Beyond that, there's a full lineup of coffee, tea, non-coffee drinks, and smoothies — with plenty of peach-based drinks in particular.

Peach soufflé for ₩22,000, worth the 20-minute wait

My order arrived: peach soufflé ₩22,000, Americano ₩5,500, decaf Americano ₩5,500.

Full view of Think Fruit's signature peach soufflé

This is Think Fruit's signature menu item and the currently-trending peach soufflé. Since soufflé is slow-baked over low heat for a long time, you'll need to wait about 20 minutes after ordering.

Warm soufflé with whipped cream after the 20-minute wait

For a warm, fluffy soufflé like this, I could wait 30 minutes if I had to. The smooth whipped cream melts in your mouth like eating pure softness. My mom, trying soufflé for the very first time, took one bite and said, "Ooh, it's not too sweet, this is really good."

Mom's highest compliment: not too sweet

I want to eat this soufflé again even while writing about it...

And here's the shocking part: even with plenty of fresh peach slices scattered across the bottom, there's also a whole peach sitting on top. If you're looking for a Hongdae dessert café, this is the single biggest reason to come to Think Fruit. The yellow peach's color is just gorgeous too ❤️

This whipped cream is seriously the best. I usually prefer ice cream, but this time the whipped cream was so good I kept scooping up big spoonfuls of soufflé with cream together.

Cross-section of the fluffy, castella-like soufflé
A bite of soufflé scooped up with whipped cream

The combination of the fluffy, castella-like soufflé and the whipped cream is honestly criminal — getting that golden-ratio sweetness of the cream exactly right should be illegal. Please give me the recipe, sniff.

Fresh peach piled generously on top of the soufflé

The peaches are genuinely delicious. Not fully firm, not fully soft — exactly the texture that works for dessert. The combination of soft soufflé and crisp, sweet peach is perfect.

Soft soufflé paired with peach slices
Moist soufflé topped with peach

I usually don't eat peach desserts much because the fruit tends to feel disconnected from the cream, but at Think Fruit's Hongdae branch, it paired perfectly with the soufflé. The moistness is on another level — I couldn't stop reaching for more. It just melts away the moment it hits your mouth.

Greek yogurt inside a whole peach

Whole yellow peach filled with Greek yogurt

Inside the yellow peach, the pit has been scooped out and the whole thing is filled with Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt and peach used to be a super trendy combo back in the day. Eating it alongside the soufflé made it even better.

Spoonful combining Greek yogurt and peach

The tangy signature taste of the Greek yogurt with peach was actually pretty great. Peach alone is already good, but adding Greek yogurt makes it impossible not to love — creamy, crisp, and full of juice, this combination was the best.

Coffee and wrap-up

Cups of Americano and decaf Americano
Table shot of coffee served alongside the soufflé

I had the decaf so I didn't notice, but my mom said the coffee was really tasty. I'll admit the decaf has some acidity so it's not something I drink for the flavor alone — I love coffee, but caffeine keeps me up at night.

Today I've recorded a visit to Think Fruit, a Hongdae dessert spot with an incredible soufflé, made during a mom-daughter date around Hongdae. I'd had the peach soufflé here before, but this time it tasted even better — maybe their ripening method has improved — so I'll probably come back with my partner next time. It's gorgeous to look at too, so if you're searching for Hongdae dessert, I recommend Think Fruit.
