Seocho tonkatsu by car: 30-minute Hanseong lot parking at Kosi Gyodae

There are so many great restaurants around Gyodae Station. But among all of them, there's one place I keep going back to over and over — Kosi Gyodae Branch.

Whether it's lunchtime or dinner, this place is always packed whenever I go, and every visit reminds me of just how strong its pull is.

Two reasons to go back to Kosi Gyodae Branch

There are really two reasons I love this place.

First, the tonkatsu (pork cutlet) is genuinely delicious. I'm really sensitive to oil smells, and there's none of that greasy odor here — it's crispy on the outside with the juices still locked in. The meat is thick too. It doesn't feel like eating fried food, more like getting a protein boost, haha!

Second, there's no parking stress. There's 1 spot in front of the restaurant on weekdays and 2 on weekends, but since the place is so popular, there's no guarantee it'll be open. That said, spending over ₩20,000 gets you 30 minutes of support at the nearby Hanseong parking lot. Even with just two people, the bill easily passes ₩20,000, and tonkatsu doesn't take long to eat, so it's a great deal! That's why I can head over by car without any worries.
