Date night Italian dinner in Seocho: diavola pizza at Dooblock Isu

Today I want to introduce a precious regular spot🤍 near Isu Station that I'd happily pay for out of my own pocket — an Italian restaurant. I first visited Dooblock two months ago and had such a great meal that I came back with my partner💓

This is the reservation screenshot from back then — it was a gathering of five, and everyone kept praising me for finding such a great restaurant. It really is a true hidden gem near Isu Station!

Where is Dooblock Isu in Seocho, Seoul?

Dooblock Isu is an Italian restaurant at 7 Bangbaecheon-ro 24-gil, 1st floor, Seocho-gu, Seoul. It's within walking distance of Isu Station, and it's nearly full even in the evening, so it's more comfortable to go with a reservation.

What is Dooblock Isu like in the evening?

Last time I visited Dooblock it was during the day, so the space felt bright and cheerful, but this time, after dark, the mood felt completely different. A bit more moody and cozy..?💛

The interior was overall orange-toned with tons of green plants🌿 Rather than the somewhat heavy feel of a traditional Italian restaurant, it leans lighter and more casual! The soft lighting also made it feel even cozier.

This is the table we were seated at! It was nearly full, so reservations are pretty much essential. The mushroom-shaped yellow lamps matched the orange-toned furniture so well and were so cute~

This is the space for groups of five or more — we sat here for our gathering back in July too. Since it's separated from the 2-tops and 4-tops, it feels nicely private. Strongly recommend it as a group dinner spot near Isu Station!👍🏻

How were the steak cream pasta and diavola pizza?

Draft Budweiser incoming!🍺 There were two kinds of draft beer available. Along with beer, they also sell other alcoholic drinks, so it's a good spot for a light drink with your meal.

One of the popular items, the steak cream pasta🤎 A thick, rich cream sauce pasta topped with cubed steak. Passes the visual test right off the bat!!🫶🏻

You could also adjust the spice level of the pasta. I went with a little spicy! It's a two-birds-one-stone dish where you get steak and pasta at once — highly recommend😋

The cream sauce was super savory and smooth, and eating it with arugula in between bites helped cut through the richness a bit. Eating it with the meat filled me up pretty fast too👍🏻

Next up is the diavola pizza🍕 Dooblock is honestly a total looks-restaurant!!! Not only does it look delicious, but I tried it last time and loved it so much I ordered it again~

The center of the pizza is generously piled with salami and pepperoni. The edge of the dough is covered in cheese like fresh snow~ Never seen a pizza like this before!!hahaha

The flavor is bolder and spicier than expected. Koreans really do need this kind of flavor~💓 That's exactly why it paired so well with the cream pasta — but if you're ordering a tomato-based pasta, I'd recommend going with a different pizza flavor!

Is there parking at Dooblock Isu?

There's a mechanical parking lot right next to the store, but large vehicles, EVs, and SUVs can't use mechanical parking. If parking here is difficult or it's full, just ask Dooblock staff — they'll direct you to parking at Seyang Arbichae Building 102, so keep that in mind!

Is Dooblock Isu worth it for a date or group dinner?

Including my previous visit, I've now tried about seven dishes at Dooblock, and they were all delicious😋 Between the menu lineup and the atmosphere, it's a great fit for dates as well as all kinds of gatherings.
