Gimhae Yulha gamjatang set with garlic pork and marinated crab

In short

Ppyeodae Itneun Haejangguk Gamjatang Yulha Branch is a gamjatang (pork bone stew) restaurant near the Yulha cafe street in Gimhae, Gyeongnam. Two people ordered the Daega Han-sang set (₩40,000), which filled a four-person table with garlic pork slices, spicy marinated crab, and free refills of noodle add-ins, and the bone meat fell off with just a touch of chopsticks. A solid choice for a good-value gamjatang feast in Gimhae Yulha.

I really love pork bone soup and gamjatang, so I'm always out hunting for good neighborhood spots. This time I was craving a hot broth packed with meat, so I headed to the well-known Gimhae Yulha restaurant Ppyeodae Itneun Haejangguk Gamjatang Yulha Branch.

Where to park?

You can park in the public lot behind the restaurant, or in the marked spots out front! Parking was super convenient even on a weekend..

The ₩40,000 Daega Han-sang set

I ordered the Gamjatang Daega Han-sang set (₩40,000). After ordering, the basic side dishes came out along with the set's included sides — and the lineup was seriously amazing 😭 It came with garlic pork slices topped with a pungent garlic sauce (rare to see at a gamjatang place!) and spicy marinated crab, both included in the set.

Isn't the visual insane? This much abundance for a ₩40,000 set

Generously served side dishes from the Daega Han-sang set

Cucumber, garlic, chili, sesame seeds all arranged in harmony — the visual is speechless..

How the garlic pork slices tasted

I picked up a piece of the garlic pork slices first — the chewy texture combined with that pungent, sweet garlic umami on top was perfect for kicking off my appetite before the main dish.

Chewy pork slices, king~!

Spicy marinated crab

The marinated crab had a bold, savory sauce and crab meat that was sweet and full, making me crave rice instantly. For ₩40,000, having this level of side dishes felt like genuinely great value.

The main gamjatang and free add-ins

The main gamjatang came out soon after, arriving in a huge pot piled high with pork bones and napa cabbage..! The portion looked generous right from the start 😙 As the pot started bubbling, the mounds of cabbage and mushrooms reduced down into the rich, thick broth!

While the gamjatang simmered, I checked out the add-in bar — dumpling dough, glass noodles, rice cakes, and more, all freely refillable. After eating some of the meat and cabbage, I added the free add-ins, and the noodles soaked in that spicy broth turned out to be a delicacy of their own.

How was the bone meat and broth?

I pulled out the biggest bone piece, set it on my plate, and picked off the meat — the quality was seriously exceptional. Who knows how long they simmered it with care, but the meat came off tender with just the slightest touch of chopsticks.. ㅠ There wasn't a hint of gamey or off smell, and even though the meat was really thick, the seasoning had soaked all the way through so it was never dry. The broth also had zero heaviness — deep, rich, and spicy all at once, wrapping around my mouth in a way that felt truly authentic.

At a reasonable ₩40,000, getting the full course of pungent garlic pork slices, spicy marinated crab, and free add-in refills in the Daega Han-sang set was really satisfying. The pork slices even seemed genuinely homemade!!!

Interior of the gamjatang restaurant with widely spaced tables

Atmosphere and who should visit

The interior overall was kept very neat and clean. The tables were spaced out generously too, making it a comfortable spot to eat without worrying about the next table over. Great for families, or a date with a boyfriend or girlfriend! If you're looking for a hearty, great-value gamjatang set in Gimhae Yulha, this is a place I'd definitely recommend stopping by.
