Jamsil sandwich shop with parking: apple jambon-beurre, Town Sandwich

I visited Town Sandwich, a Jamsil lunch spot everyone raves about. It's known for tons of takeout and delivery orders, and that's what I originally planned too — but since the shopping mall's parking lot was available, I drove over and ate in the shop instead.

The reason Town Sandwich is such a famous Jamsil restaurant is its baguette. The bread — kneaded and baked in-house, they say — is genuinely delicious. I'd buy it separately if I could, and the jambon-beurre (ham and butter sandwich) made with it is amazing.

Town Sandwich Jamsil Branch: how to find it from Jamsil Station

This is genuinely a Jamsil Station restaurant. So many places claim to be near Jamsil Station but are actually far away, right? Town Sandwich is near the Homeplus building, so it's really close to the station. Looking at the exterior, there's a kiosk out front — you can order without even stepping inside. There's also a standing sign so you can see the menu from outside.

Where to park: mall lot and free parking hours

Here's the parking lot for Town Sandwich. You can use the shopping mall's parking lot, and there's parking support too — 1 hour on weekdays, 2 hours on weekends, so keep that in mind. The lot is fairly spacious, so it's convenient to park near the mall's elevator.

Inside Town Sandwich: small, tidy and comfortable

The interior is on the small side, but the space is used well, so there was no inconvenience at all. There are also tables suited for solo dining. The facilities were clean and pleasant.

There's a self-service area for tissues, wet wipes and sauces.

Menu and the choices you make when ordering

There isn't just sandwiches — plenty of drinks too. The menu is varied, so take your time looking through it. When ordering a sandwich, you can choose how it's cut, and you can also add extra toppings, so I'd recommend checking that out before ordering.

Apple jambon-beurre and its gentle cinnamon scent

I have to recommend the apple jambon-beurre. They said it's a new menu item, but I'm sure it's going to become the signature dish. It's a regular jambon-beurre with a jam full of apple chunks tucked inside, and the subtle cinnamon scent makes it so delicious. That gentle sweetness alongside the ham makes the apple jambon-beurre addictively good.

And the amount of jambon ham is insane, right? I love that Town Sandwich doesn't skimp on ingredients and piles it on generously!

How filling is the basil jambon-beurre?

The basil jambon-beurre stood out for its basil sauce and aroma. True to its name, it's a jambon-beurre with basil, and this one alone is filling enough to be a meal. I'd recommend this sandwich as a meal substitute.

Personally, I think the baguette bread and basil sauce are the best-matched combo here — they really go well together. If you're someone who enjoys basil regularly, I think you'll definitely be satisfied with this sandwich.

The sandwiches with an iced americano

One item was an americano ordered with the ₩1,000 discount from the drink set. There were two of us visiting, and the staff thoughtfully put in straws for both of us like this. It was a good iced americano to enjoy alongside the sandwiches, and the beans were solid too.
