I'm heading to the beach and a pool this weekend, so of course I went and got a Brazilian wax again! In summer I end up wearing swimsuits a lot, so I keep up with regular Brazilian waxing. Being neatly groomed makes wearing a swimsuit so much more comfortable.

This time I picked ✨ Waxing Lounge ✨ inside Sindorim Technomart. I've been here several times before and liked it, so I came back again.

Getting to Waxing Lounge from Sindorim Station

What did I like about it? First, the location is really convenient — you can get there so easily.

• especially nice on rainy days
• it's close to my office
• ✔️ Cons — the McDonald's smell can tempt you on your way home
• you might end up dropping by E-mart too

Arrived in a 10-minute walk. Technomart is also a parking powerhouse, so it's easy to visit by car too. One thing to note ⚠️ Technomart is closed every second Tuesday of the month.

Just walk straight to the very back of the first floor and you'll arrive.

Finally arrived at Waxing Lounge. It's been a while since my last wax so I was a little nervous. September's event is for people born in the Year of the Horse 🐴 — if that's you, run on over to Waxing Lounge. There's also a first-visit discount on Brazilian waxing.

Double-door structure, a private interior

It's a system where staff have to open the door for you from the inside! And inside, there's another middle door hiding the actual waxing room. I love that guests are protected by layers of doors. Another reason I love Waxing Lounge: it's private and thoughtful.

Here's what the interior looks like 💛 It's pretty and clean, which instantly puts me in a good mood.

The path to the waxing room is blocked off by yet another middle door, and on the wall there are various certificates plus a plaque naming this shop an Excellent Management Shop in Guro-gu. You can tell just how professional the director here is. My trust level just went up ⬆️

The waxing room and shower room

This is what the inside of the waxing room looks like. The bed's height adjusts, so the waxer raises and lowers it as needed, haha.

Here's the shower room. Personally I love waxing shops that have a shower room. Being able to clean up properly means neither party has to feel awkward, ha... it's a relief.

The tools were clean and tidy too. Since it's such a sensitive area, cleanliness matters more than anything.

Brazilian waxing with hard wax

Time for the Brazilian wax! It's hard wax, and the advantage of hard wax is its powerful removal power! It rips off quickly and cleanly, with strong grip so the hairs really get taken out properly.

I'm a Brazilian waxing regular, and between hard wax vs. sugaring wax, both have clear pros and cons, so I enjoy both.

I think what matters more than the type of wax is the waxer's skill, and the estheticians at Waxing Lounge are seriously fast-handed. They pull the wax off accurately and quickly — so fast that before the previous sting even fades, the next strip is already going, so you barely feel any pain and before you know it, you're already sitting up off the bed.

So I went home very satisfied. The irritation was minimal, and she finished off with a nice cooling gel at the end, so it really felt properly done.

Make sure to read the aftercare instructions. I always make sure to stay hydrated afterward too. This wasn't just a great location — the waxing itself was so satisfying. I'd recommend Waxing Lounge to Brazilian waxing beginners and honestly to everyone.
