It was the weekend so I slept in, haha, and then we went out for dinner! Today it's Sannaemaeul Yang Kkochi & Qingdao, a Chinese restaurant in Sannae-maeul, Paju.

It's on the 2nd floor of the World Tower 3 building.

Inside the restaurant and tablet ordering

The interior seems a bit small, but there's group seating too, with room for up to 20 people. There's a tablet at every table, so you can order small portions, and it's a plus that you can eat comfortably even coming alone.

The menu is insanely varied

True to being a great Chinese restaurant in Paju, the menu is insanely varied! It's a lamb skewer place, but there are so many Chinese dishes too, I honestly wanted to eat everything,,ㅠ Because of this cursed diet,,ㅠㅠ

The menu is seriously insane, right,,? There's a mini sweet and sour pork, jjajang, jjamppong set, plus yangjangpi (mustard cold noodle platter), kkanpunggi (crispy chili chicken), chili shrimp, cream shrimp, yurinji (crispy chicken with sauce), gochu japchae (chili glass noodles), palbochae (eight treasure stir-fry), mapo tofu, small and large sizes,,! Genuinely so many menu items! I've really never seen a restaurant with this many items. Doesn't that prove how skilled they are,,? Next time I'm planning to come just for the Chinese dishes!! Plenty of families come here too, and quite a few of them order the Chinese menu items.

We ordered the guobaorou set, half lamb skewers and half lamb rib

What's great about Yang Kkochi & Qingdao is that besides having a huge menu, the set menu compositions are also excellent, so we ordered the guobaorou set. And Qingdao beer is a must, haha.

They brought out the charcoal, and the lamb rib and lamb skewers came out first, half and half. Peanuts, pickled mustard greens, pickled onion, and pickled radish came out, and you can use the self-serve bar for anything else you're short on.

The lamb skewer meat looked so good my mouth was watering,,!

Eating the regular lamb skewers, they were incredibly tender,!

The lamb rib skewers were a bit chewier, which I liked, and best of all, because the meat was tender and soft, the meat slid off the skewer so easily, it was so convenient.👍

Dipped in cumin powder it's absolutely the best,,!!

The guobaorou portion was seriously huge

Before long the guobaorou came out too, and the portion was really huge,!

They gave us tongs and scissors too, so it was easy to cut and eat. The sauce amount was just right, and the sweet and sour flavor was a total hit! Crispy and chewy, a taste that's hard not to like,! Next time I want to try the sweet and sour pork or kkanpunggi, haha.

The complimentary bean sprout stir-fry

As we were eating, they gave every table a complimentary bean sprout stir-fry! It had a bit of that smoky charred flavor and was surprisingly delicious, so even though I was full, I kept eating it, lol. In the end we packed up half the guobaorou to take home, haha.

This was my first time at "Yang Kkochi & Qingdao," and it really lives up to being a great Chinese restaurant in Paju, right?! I'm planning to come back here whenever I'm craving lamb skewers or Chinese food. Ate well and happily again today.🥰
