My hair was so damaged from frequent treatments that I could barely even brush it, so I visited Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch near Gangnam Station! I received the premium Re-born Straightening treatment from Designer Youngmin, a damage-repair specialist. My frizzy hair transformed completely into a swishy texture that my fingers could just glide through—I was beyond happy! Here is my honest before-and-after of the Re-born Straightening, finished with Designer Youngmin's meticulous touch!

Location and parking at Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch
It is on the second floor at 14 Gangnam-daero 110-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and is open daily from 10:00 to 20:00. It is closed on September 25 for Chuseok.

You can use Jeil Parking. Be sure to bring your parking ticket into the salon after parking, and they cover the fee through the end of your service! I was worried about parking in the middle of Gangnam, so it was great to get my hair done comfortably without the parking cost hanging over me.
How close is it to Sinnonhyeon Station?
It is just a one-minute walk from Sinnonhyeon Station, so it is really easy to reach by public transit! It is on the second floor, and the “Park Jun Beauty Lab” sign is easy to spot even from a distance.
The white-and-wood salon and shampoo rooms
As soon as I stepped inside, the bright, stylish white-and-wood interior caught my eye. The sculptural curved mirrors and clean marble floor gave it such a luxe hair-salon feel.

The styling seats were generously spaced apart, so I felt comfortable and never cramped throughout the service.

The shampoo rooms were divided into private spaces, which made the care feel very comfortable. There was even a separate spa shampoo room with a massage chair on one side! Getting shampooed while receiving a massage made the whole appointment feel like a proper healing break.

The locker room for coats and belongings was also clean and pleasant. Mirrors, cotton swabs, cotton pads, lotion, and other amenities were thoughtfully set out on the shelf, making it easy to freshen up before and after the service!
The Re-born line and damaged-hair consultation

The menu was neatly organized into cuts, coloring, perms, and care. Along with regular services, there is a separate premium Re-born line for damaged hair, making it easy to choose according to your condition. Extra charges are divided by hair length, so it is worth keeping that in mind before visiting!

While filling out my chart, I had fragrant welcome tea and a thorough consultation with Designer Youngmin. After carefully checking my usual hair concerns and degree of damage, Youngmin recommended Re-born Straightening, a premium treatment tailored exactly to my hair's condition. The kind, detailed explanation made it easy to decide on the treatment with confidence!
The Re-born Straightening process for frizzy, damaged hair
This was the condition of my hair before the service... It was severely damaged from frequent treatments, so it was frizzy and puffed up all over, with messy ends that scattered everywhere. It looked untidy from the outside, but when I lifted the inner layers, the curl was even more pronounced. Tiny curls growing from the roots were what made my hair look bulky and frizzy overall.
Designer Youngmin delicately and meticulously trimmed my damaged ends. The length was preserved as much as possible, while the messy line was cleaned up, so even the cut alone made everything feel much neater!
Before the main treatment, the first step was a dedicated Shiseido shampoo. They created rich, dense foam in a foaming container and applied it to my hair—it felt so soft!
Unlike a regular shampoo, this step is said to remove impurities and metal residues from inside the hair so the following nutrients absorb well. The foam was wonderfully rich and smelled great, and the cool, massage-like shampooing reached every part of my scalp. It really felt like being cared for and relaxed!
After the shampoo, I returned to my seat and was given an iced Americano and snacks. The thoughtful message written on the cup sleeve was such a small but touching detail during the appointment!
Next, they applied the Shiseido Sublimic Step 2 product and an A Yoon Chae Bond Pro ampoule.
It is a moisture-bonding treatment that fills the inside of the hair with protein and nutrients. I was told it is a key step for replenishing dry, damaged hair with moisture, controlling frizz, and creating resilient texture!
Back in the shampoo room, they applied a pH balancer and heat protectant. They sprayed it evenly over my hair, then worked it in carefully by hand. It helps bring alkalized hair back to a stable pH,
and is an especially important step to protect the hair from the heat treatment to come!
They applied ATS Heating Balm. It is an essence that reduces hair damage from hot tools and helps nutrients adhere more closely. After applying it generously by hand, they carefully dried my hair with a dryer, and it already felt so soft.
Then came the pressing work to smooth the hair with a flat iron. The designers carefully divided my hair into sections and lovingly straightened every strand from the roots to the ends.
Once all the pressing was done, the frizzy texture had vanished and been replaced by swishy, glossy hair with shine flowing through it.
For the finishing step, they applied a Shiseido Sublimic Aqua Intensive Mask. They generously layered it over all of my hair and worked it in as though wrapping each section with their hands. I was told this essential last step creates an oil-and-moisture protective barrier so the nourishment does not escape!
The calm after, from roots to ends
After all the care, here is the final after look at last! My frizzy, puffed-up hair was smoothed from roots to ends, with an unreal texture that fell sleekly with a single brush-through! The angel ring shine sparkled every time it caught the light, and I could only gasp. It felt soft and moisturized to the touch too, with none of the roughness I had before—I was so satisfied.
There was also a photo booth set up in one corner of the salon. The wall was filled with sweet little memories left by past visitors, which was fun to look at. It was the perfect spot to photograph my beautifully transformed hair and capture the happy mood of the day!
My frizzy, damaged hair transformed perfectly into silky strands with shine flowing from roots to ends! This was a truly life-changing restorative straightening treatment that showed Designer Youngmin's meticulous touch at Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch. I strongly recommend it to anyone worried about extremely damaged hair!
